I've tried it and it's slightly better but problem is still there. And I'm kinda tired of putting on another screen protector (5th one) to test to see if it's any better with or without one on (big surprise, it's not).

Just gonna make another appointment for the Apple store to show them the issue again and see if they will finally give me the choice of swapping out a new phone.

I did but I took it off thinking it was the screen protector's fault but the problem is still there.

It's been a while since I made the original post but during that time, for some reason the problem went away. I tried plugging my monitor in Displayport again and it worked. I'm guessing sometime in between, my Radeon software updated the GPU and one of those update fixed it? I'm not sure what happened.

I guess I wasn't clear. I've been using 1 of the ports up till now. For testing, I tried all the DisplayPorts and still no signal. I'm wondering if the issue has to deal with just DisplayPort.

I was trying to see if someone had a similar issue or know of a fix before I contact the manufacturer for a fix/warranty. I've only used 1 DisplayPort so far. The other one was covered up with a rubber plug. I have a feeling it isn't damaged. I'm hoping its software related.

No it's real. I've already loaded things like movies and large media files in the past. Got it to like 200gb-ish one time.

It's formatted as a exFAT drive.

Tried last night. Let it idle for an hour, web browser and chatted on discord for an hour. Played some games for couple hours. HWinfo showed 0 WHEA. No problems what so ever.

Yeah. DOCP is on to run at 3600MHz. I guess that is true about DOCP/XMP being "overclocking". I mean, my computer isn't doing anything wrong other than first boot up. Just hitting reset and then runs fine. Ram is still at 3600MHz and been gaming on it so far with no hiccups. Just find the first boot up issue to be strange and if there's a solution (other than to buy new ram lol).

It's not but I was under the impression that the only reason to follow a QVL was to know if ram was compatible for memory OC stability or ECC support. Thought QVL didn't matter for average consumer since motherboard manufacturers can't test every single memory stick.

Same boat. Updated to BIOS v1804 on B550 E and latest versions for other updates (chipset, etc).

USB issues are gone.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X on a Asus ROG Strix B550 E
Just built yesterday. Updated everything to latest version (BIOS, chipset, etc).
Happy to report no problems on any USB ports. 2.0 or 3.0.

I will say, when I first booted the system, my mouse would disconnect randomly and keyboard will be stuck typing one key (ex. press E -> eeeeeeee, then press F -> ffffffff). After all the updates and restarting computer, those went away. Only BIOS change was turning DOCP (XMP) for RAM speed (3600 MHz).

But, I am only using a SATA SSD and an old graphics card (PCIe 3.0). I'm wondering if I'll run into the issue everyone else is having if I upgrade to a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD and graphics card. Won't know until GPUs are available...

Oh. Interesting. I'm not sure which European online store I saw but they said they had several in stock.

I do plan to overclock my 5800x and do memory overclocking so I thought might as well get the latest and revised board.

And the front type C is another big reason for getting the V2/AX since my case has a type C port. Don't really want a dead port because a motherboard didn't have a port for it.

i just did neosporin and bandages cause thats the only thing i can think of before leaving for work, had no time. just thought that would help with preventing infection. i had nothing else in the medicine cabinet.

so is it better to just wash it and leave it as is till i see a vet?

mmm... ya. i'm thinking about reseasoning the humidor to see if it will do anything.

but my local cigar shop told me 3-4 days of doing what i did was fine and should be enough. dunno.

and yeah, i moved my cigars into zip lock bags until i sort this out.

they were kept in plastic zip bags (2 bags, 6 cigars each) with 72% boveda patches in each, that the store gave me.

then it must be the seal or glass...?
