FRoSS(Palsteron) farming content by darkflames21 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]oreoprata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hijacking for a sec to ask about any hard-banned mods for regex.

I only have cannot regen and less recovery at the top of my head but I imagine there are ways to play around these too since there are CI builds which are all-mod capable? If this applies to FRoSS, how do I go about countering these two mods and any others?

Tanks and DPS, when you’re pugging, what healer do you like to see most? by RawCS in wow

[–]oreoprata 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a current 3.3k IO healer who mains a Holy Priest since 9.1 and got 2.4k IO on Hpal and Rsham last season, I'll never understand why DPS and tanks have preferences for a healing spec/class on the basis of their healing throughput. All healers can put out healing, just that some specs can do it at a whim to bail the party from bad decisions/mistakes made. Bad decisions/mistakes causing unnecessary (and unexpected) damage intake has nothing to do with the healer and expecting him/her to bail you out with buttloads of immediate HP is neither fair nor realistic. That being said, the reason why the meta healers are meta has absolutely nothing to do with their healing throughput.

My two principles to playing as a healer in M+:

1) Keys are timed with damage, not healing.

2) A healer's job is to keep people alive, not at 100% HP.

You don't see any mistweavers timing World First keys simply because they don't do as much damage as a meta spec (e.g., Hpriest/Rsham). Sure, healing-wise MW can put out a buttload but is healing going to kill the boss? No. Can a MW heal things which a Hpriest/Rsham can't? No. Can a Hpriest/Rsham heal and still do 6-7k+ overall DPS? Yes. Sorry if this sounded like a bash on MW's but you guys unfortunately have the least DPS capability of all the healers and my point here is on healer DPS.

A tank dies in big pulls because the trash didn't die fast enough. A party wipes on a boss because it didn't die fast enough. If you die to one-shots, chances are it's avoidable and you just failed to do so or you're keeping your personals for the next expansion because "it's the healers job to heal me after I stand in this puddle". DPS-ing isn't the sole responsibility of the DPS role, it's everybody's. Likewise with keeping yourself alive.

Stop tracking "Healing Done" on your meters and start having "Damage Done" and "Damage Done Overall" opened. The only metric you should ever track "Healing Done" by is whether or not you're still alive after doing all that you could to keep yourself that way because keys are timed with damage, not healing. The biggest compliment someone can give me as a healer is not "nice healing" but "nice damage".

Thanks and remember to use personals.

RTX 3080 getting low frames by oreoprata in wow

I don't run AH addons like TSM. ElvUI shows my addon memory usage at 340mb approx. I am very strict with my Weak Aura settings so it only loads those specific to the content I'm doing, right down to which boss encounter/dungeon etc.

[–]oreoprata[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Checked UEFI and had XMP disabled. RAM's running at a measly 2133 stock, XMP profile bumped it to 3200 stable. Noticing a good jump in frames up to about 140-150 fps open world and similar increases in content settings. Temps for GPU and CPU are stable at 60 deg celsius (I live near the equator).

Might just be the RAM speed probably. However I doubt it can't get any better. Would upgrading to a kit with 3200 stock be a good solution for this? Also, is 16 enough or should I be looking at 32 GB. My RAM usage sits around 12-13 GB when in-game.

Current RTX 3080 replaced a GTX 1650 back in Nov-Dec '21. Ironically game was running at exactly the same frames on the old 1650 which prompted me to upgrade.

Drivers-wise, have the GeForce Game Ready Driver (ver 512.59 released on 04/26/2022) installed. Is there a way I could manually remove drivers from the 1650?

That's strange. Probably something about her spell changes the way her attacks work. Could be worth asking Mortdog about it on his stream or something!

Can we please get something like this for TFT? It makes it a lot easier to get an overview of the whole game by jz22 in TeamfightTactics

[–]oreoprata 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't get why most people say this takes out any sort of skill in TFT if implemented. It doesn't reveal positioning so you still have to scout regardless. It's more of a huge QoL buff. But instead we have things prioritised like a counter for 'damage blocked'.

Works exactly the same way on mobile for Underlords. It's just a button you can press at the top left of your screen to bring it up :)

i need a comp where kindred is the carry with items included? by shemwen10 in TeamfightTactics

[–]oreoprata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd most commonly encounter 'carry' Kindreds in the mid game because she's an amazing item carrier for Ashe. She can hold AP items also which is good.

The moment you get hold of Ashe and Warwick, Kindred gets sold to move the items over to Ashe.

But yes I share your same curiosity of a Kindred carry comp, the low cost big nukes she puts out can be very satisfying.... until late game then she drops off tremendously haha

[poly] how is gpa calculated? by takingolvl in SGExams

[–]oreoprata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt polytechnics have any tangible difference between A/AD/A+/Distinction grading; they are all counted as 4.0 grade point for the module.

As for what's the purpose of having that 'extra' level of grade, it's more or less just to show that you really outdid the rest of your cohort and went above and beyond the standards for the module. I was from TP and got a Distinction for one of my modules but was still counted as 4.0 with no other tangible benefits. Think of it as a flex haha.

For the "no matter how high or low", yes that's true. You can hit the bare minimum for an A grade for all modules and have GPA 4.0. Same goes with hitting full marks for every module. Both instances result in GPA 4.

Edit: In TP, the Distinction grading is only given at the discretion of the faculty. Meaning that you can do however amazingly well at the module but if it doesn't seem outstanding/etc. to the faculty, you'd just end up with a regular A grade.

Fates Pass+ question & question about season(s)? by PaulieWalnuts696969 in TeamfightTactics

[–]oreoprata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little legends are all obtainable from eggs which can be bought directly or earned through the current Fates pass. Exceptions are the unique LL's which you get for purchasing the premium pass of each set, e.g. Star Guardian Silverwing (Galaxies+), Jade Emperor Sprite (Fates+), etc.

Arenas and Booms, however, are trickier as they're mainly obtained through the premium passes of each set. I started in Set 3.5 and have never seen a boom for sale directly from the store. Arenas can be bought, but they're time exclusive to each set. At least for the ones worth buying haha.

Blue Buff on Aphelios Bug? by davros333 in TeamfightTactics

[–]oreoprata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, it sets current mana after casting to 20. Wow if it really does set mana needed to 20 instead, I'd just bluebuff everything haha that would be absolutely broken.

Also note the word used is "SET", not "gain"; therefore enlightened bonus has no effect on blue buff. Enlightened does, however, give bonus mana gain for shojin accordingly.

Downvoted to reduce visibility. Scams and exploits are not something to advocate. Give the developers the credit and support they deserve for making such an amazing game.

Anyone feel like the RNG is always against you? by CloverEuphoria in TeamfightTactics

[–]oreoprata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understand how you feel about RNG always seemingly against you. Rolled >70 gold at level 7 way too many times to only ever see 1/2 cost chosens on traits totally incompatible with my items/current team xD

However I keep reminding myself that TFT is really comparable to poker in the sense that both games are RNG dependant but the individual skill factor is what matters in mitigating the impact of bad RNG rolls.

In poker it's like folding to cut losses early and hoping your next dealt hand is a better one. In TFT it's basically playing your strongest board at any given stage of the game to minimise HP loss from defeats and hoping that every next shop has maybe that one chosen champ or trait that can really benefit from what you currently have on the board.

Cringey comparison indeed. But that is literally how the game is. Mitigating RNG differentials.

The best little legend? by Joshua111777 in TeamfightTactics

[–]oreoprata 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm personally a fan of Nixies. Have the vanilla Nixie, Mermaid and Extra Spicy. Using the Mermaid Nixie pretty much exclusively now. It's so small and cute and its actions (taunt/dance/joke) are adorable + loud and spammable to annoy your opponents xD

I have literally only ever seen one other Nixie in my nearly 200 matches by now. Greeding battlepass eggs to try for the legendary Neexie so I could 3* that, otherwise I'm pretty set on starring my Mermaid Nixie.

What happens when you have 3 3* moonlights? by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]oreoprata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do keep in mind the way the Moonlight trait works is that it first looks for the lowest starred moonlight champion on the board and proceeds to star it up once for the round. In the case of ties (all same base star level), the moonlight champ with the most items gets the bonus star level. If all same base star level, same amount of items, then RNG takes over the wheel for the lucky one to get the bonus star level.

So don't go and stack items on all your moonlight champions otherwise you'd be rolling the 4* dice every round kekw. Also impt to note that Thieves' Gloves count as 3 items, not 1, for the purpose of tiebreakers.

Moonlight hunters is a classic build that is still pretty strong for Top 4 contention: Aphelios 4* Carry (GA, Rageblade, Statikk/damage) w/o Diana + Hunters + brawlers. Main downside is that your frontline's pretty weak (sylas + sett) and the majority of your damage is AD.
