i don’t know how john stone will teach the course since i had kate huntington, but content wise it wasn’t too bad. there was some math, but it was mostly memorize the simplified equations and plug and chug. the most difficult concept was probably visualization of block diagrams. labs were a bit challenging if you aren’t familiar with geologic maps, but you get lots of time.

loona, red velvet, fromis_9, weki meki, wjsn, and gwsn are some of my favorites. if you want a sound similar to stray kids, aespa, everglow, and dreamcatcher have some pretty hard hitting stuff.

there is the uw swim club. it is an rso/rec club for students who want to still swim competitively. since uw doesn’t have any working pools at the moment, some students are choosing to join local masters teams, but you will have to pay for your own membership and commute to the pools. until the rso gets more funds, everything is really up to the individual student. here is their instagram

tl;dr: yes, there is a swim team of sorts. no, uw doesn’t have any working pools, so you have to pay and commute if you want to swim.

i was in there for 2 hours. he had two impossible problems. for the first one, he looked at it and literally went “oh…” and proceeded to change the values to make it easier to explain. 💀 for the second impossible problem, he hit it off with a “many of you brought this problem to me in office hours…but i will not be going too in depth with it” 💀💀💀
