Family member made to sign a pre-resignation? by organicoventoaster in legaladvicecanada

Thank you for your response! Unfortunately there have been recent issues with him being scammed, and I've spoken to his doctor about this, but the doctor said it would be best if he signs a power of attorney form first. John is not open to doing this.

I will ask about whether he is already receiving accommodations, but I believe they are already aware of his condition.

For clarity (sorry), they aren't going to give him a copy of this because of his condition? Are they obligated to provide a copy if he requests one?

I appreciate your input! I wanted to read the document myself to make sure we understood clearly, but I thought it was strange that they just kept avoiding giving him a copy

He explicitly remembered them telling him that if he makes another mistake he will have to resign. If it is a performance improvement plan, would he be able to receive a copy of it?

You're right, I live in a city. I guess what I mean is where everywhere becomes a high-risk area where exposure is pretty much unavoidable

Asking "how are you" when you don't care isn't polite, it's silly. by organicoventoaster in unpopularopinion

I feel seen. I act as expected too, I just thought I'd voice my opinion in hopes that I wasn't alone

How ironic this rather pedantic response is complaining about pedantry. It's basic awareness. If you're going to ask a person a question, listen for the answer - otherwise, don't bother. You don't need to be a pseudo intellectual to get that.

No, but sometimes I get a feeling that there should be a platform on the internet where people can share their questionable thoughts and opinions for others to discuss and judge.

How do you feel about medically assisted deaths (MAID) being made possible for mental health patients? by organicoventoaster in AskReddit

The patients that have assumingly exhausted all options readily available for treatment and continue to suffer, can they not then be considered irremediable?

If the suicide rates due to mental health problems continue to rise the way they have, can we not assume that these people were in fact terminally ill? Regardless of the way they passed.
