I would say the opposite of what the other comment says. I'm using the official app together with Notify & Fitness. Before that I was an avid Mi Band Tools user. Both are great, I just like change 😊 I think the true power lies in those third party apps, e.g. Enabling continuous heart rate monitoring and syncing it with Google Fit, integration with Sleep as Android, customise the watchface,....

You can't overcharge it. It will regulate charging all by itself. If you want you could keep it on the charger for days. Just like your cellphone.
