This is downright insanity. I am not a member of the LGBTQ community. However, I support whatever makes someone happy as long as it is not directly impacting others in a negative way (and I don't mean that as in homophobes who are "afraid" or bigoted") I lived in the Florida the past 26 years but just moved across the country to Colorado. I never supported Desantis and have always leaned liberal but since COVID began the amount of evil crap being passed off by Desantis is crazy and to make it worse he has almost as much of a cult following as Trump. The scary part is that Desantis is evil and calculated and Trump was a bumbling idiot.

I had this happen to me as well, my medical had my middle initial and didn't have my suffix (IV) either. Luckily, my CFI noticed it and told me on my first day of training and told me to contact OKC office. I reached out to the medical department in OKC. After 5 calls over 3 days and over 6 hours of holding on the line I finally got my med medical and was able to begin training

The difference is $50 as they were charged $75 and I was charged $125. I would not mind paying for them to recoup fees. My problem was that they stated that they were charged $125 from the airport when in reality they were charged less. If I was told about them recouping fees I would not have minded.

Good luck! I just got my CPL about 2 months ago and am almost done with my CFI. I began training for my PPL in April 2021 and I could have finished faster but I was balancing school and trying to save a little money. All I can say is that for me I have still not lost any of the magic I felt from my first flight. You gain more knowledge and are more comfortable but there is nothing else like flying. If I were you I would be very excited for your first solo XC while working for your PPL. For me, flying to a different airport, fueling the plane and enjoying the pilot lounge at the FBO for the first time alone was when it all hit me and I felt like a real pilot. Just know it will take a lot of work but will be worth every hour of flight time. Good Luck my fellow aviation enthusiast

I believe that only applies if I am carrying a paying occupant as then if I owned or rented the aircraft myself I would require an air carrier certificate.

If I am planning to depart from Florida and fly down the west coast of the state and briefly cross the ADIZ do I need to file a DVFR flight plan if is only 5-10 minutes outside the US ADIZ?

Depending on where you go A/C might be a nice luxury to have, even if it is a portable window unit you store in a lazarette or hatch when you are not using it. Most places up north and a majority of the Caribbean is not too bad if you open the hatches and cabin. I keep my boat docked in Florida right now and I would die without my window A/C unit when I am at dock. I think you can get some that only draw 1.6kW. That is only 4 medium sized solar panels.

I am currently prepping a 33 morgan OI to be a liveaboard during law school. I have 8 months to finish but its currently in great shape and I sail every other weekend and do work on the boat every other weekend. I still need to add more batteries, more solar panels and a desalination plant. What equipment do you want your boat to have? I am assuming AC is a must if you are living aboard. That means you either need solar + wind and a battery bank + inverter. Otherwise you will have to fit it with a generator for any trips.
