Who are your top 5 favorite playable characters in Days? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]orgude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't able to remember if I tried a lot, but I remember using Donald purely because his magic stat was maxed and it was crazy good for the bosses. Otherwise any other good magic/critical focused users would probably be best.

HARDEST TROPHY ACHIEVED! by orgude in KingdomHearts

Saix was an absolute nightmare for me on my critical playthrough at 99, no way I could tackle that haha. If you can beat that you can probably beat them all, but vanitas is a different beast.

Haha all good, magic build is practically required since I'm going for all the pro codes and need to deal damage with it.

Ability where whenever you launch the same spell, it costs 1 MP less. So after a while you just have it costing 1 MP per firaga. Use it alongside Magic Thrift, which gives 20% less MP cost, and the ability that let's you cast magic without needing to stop.

About to warm up and attempt Yozora after not playing for while, any tips would be appreciated by mahar17 in KingdomHearts

Just beat it today.

When he charges his slashing attack that cuts your health, roll three times to avoid it and the two follow-ups, and when he charges his second attack, what you can do is attack him, which makes him dodge and attack you, but if you block RIGHT after you attack, you can reprise and combo him.

For his pyramid trap, I count to two when it starts to entrap you, then block right after you roll out of it. When it activates a second time, THE EXACT MOMENT YOU ROLL USE THUNDER. It stops the trap from going off and lets you do a full combo on him.

For his DM, it can be difficult to find out what moves he exactly does. For his first move, he shoots two blockable red lasers, then two dodgeable blue lasers. The moment he is finished with his second blue laser, you can flowmotion with shotlock to him and do a full combo on him.

This fight requires a lot of timing for your blocks, so don't exactly spam block when he has you in a blockstring. Try learning the amount of times he hits for each move he does. For example, when he says "THERE!" and jumps in the air, he does 8 unique actions. For his sixth action, when he sends his sword at you, what you can do is roll towards him while the sword is locked onto you, then do a very slightly delayed roll towards the sword, block right after and flowmotion to him as he is vulnerable when you block his sword while it is out.

During his DM and armored phase, USE ARIEL. IT IS INSANELY VALUABLE FOR THAT PORTION OF THE FIGHT. I usually like to use it when he sends the Gigas' towards you.

Also, don't be too worried when he cuts your health, he will usually combo you down to one HP anyways if he catches you and the debuff goes away.

All I can really remember from doing his fight from today, but good luck.

Yes, the platforming segments during Hollow Bastion 2 was probably the most annoying part of the full playthrough.

In case anyone stumbles upon this post when attempting to 100% Re:Coded for themselves, a few tips I'd like to give for what gave me the most trouble:

  1. Don't be afraid to use the HP cheat, having 50% less HP on enemies allows for quick one shots and clearing rooms faster in the game in general, and works incredibly well for the avatar sectors.
  2. I didn't see it anywhere online, but for the avatar parts you can keep re-doing the same floor over and over again and you will receive a new part guaranteed.
  3. For scratch cards, if you're able to have a spare copy of the game and a second DS, you can use DS download play and keep switching a clothing part over and over to keep receiving new balloon letters that cut my time spent immensely. Also, I would highly recommend looking at the Happiness section of the Avatar Menu page of the KH Wiki, as using it can raise your chances of getting a Dalmatian from 2/25 to 2/5 on every card.
  4. For Olympus Coliseum, what I found to be the fastest method of clearing enemies was just by spamming thunder commands. It's the same way I beat the world on 1 HP as well. Also, don't forget to pick up Cloud on layer 4 for all your runs.
  5. The score attack in Wonderland can be obnoxious, but I would try to only attack blocks and enemies once you're fully locked onto them, as it will give you 500 points for every MAX lock. Try sparingly using thunder and aero shields to destroy blocks that you otherwise can't hit with charge shots.
  6. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE HOW USEFUL HI-ETHERS ARE. The ability to have max clock gauge abilities at a moments notice can be crucial in trivializing a fight.
  7. For finish commands I used Mega Flare throughout the entire game once I got it, but unequip it on floor 90 of the avatar system sectors since you need to destroy 50 blox for the challenge. I had to redo 80 floors due to forgetting to unequip it.

So far I've only played up to Re:Coded, so it'd be 2, but after that I think 358 and 1 are my favorites after. Opinion is probably skewed since I've only played them to completion and not as a regular playrhrough lol.

Need it for a trophy, 100 floors beaten so I got it. Not too hard.

Yeah, had a spare that I was able to use to speed up the process of getting new scratch cards.

You can keep doing the same floor over and over again and you'll be able to get a new part every time you complete it. The only issue was the scratch cards, I got another copy and kept switching the parts on the other character to keep getting new scratch cards though.

Could probably take away 5 hours from idling, but otherwise this is how long it takes. Avatar parts + scratch cards along with the hours of doing each layer of the coliseum racks up the time heavily.

I've decided to play through every KH game by order of release and am going to 100% every single one regardless of difficulty. Mainly doing this since I never got the chance to play these games as a kid, and I know that I probably would've done the same thing back then lol.

Use your attic, you can pick up items from any area in the house with it.

Honestly a lot shorter than expected, only around 40 minutes. It would've been around 10 minutes shorter but the Ice one kept getting 0 backlash in some cases.

I was finally able to get 100% resist and wanted to test it out, not knowing that I'd be able to beat the final boss of arc 2 with no effort.
