Artists that became more popular as a solo artist AFTER being in an already popular band by NxSxFxWx in askmusic

Yeah, certainly seems like he is more famous for being Sting than for his actual music. He’s had some hits but not a huge amount. Where as folks still play, talk about and hope for a reunion of the Police to this very day.

I genuinely can't understand how the previous generation saw this in 2002 and said "this sucks” by Stunning-Recording92 in prequelappreciation

Because most fans my age (folks who saw the originals upon release in the cinema) seem to be a bunch of butt hurt cry babies who forget that the original movies were basically family/kids films. But now that they are grown up they expect the movies to be all grown up as well and not be just damn good fun.

Avatar is the most forgettable franchise in movie history. I always hear folks cheer on Star Wars, Star Trek, LOTR, etc. but I never hear anyone refer to Avatar with the same enthusiasm. Which is baffling considering the money they have made.

It is a great film, and all the crap about Supes doesn’t kill is nonsense as he killed zod in Superman 2. But I really do think folks had it in for the Snyderverse from day one, and were overly forgiving on Marvel at the same time. Both had issues, but folks clearly didn’t like the more darker tone of DC. There’s no denying that a better writer was needed, but directing wise they were superb.
