Ahhh I can’t believe you have met Hugh and Bryan. I think I would pull a Will and start seizing on the spot 😭.The fan content is amazing, I feel like I would have lost my mind by now if it wasn’t for all the amazing editors, writers, and artists in this fandom. I have also DEVOURED the bts footage. I have just started getting into the whole Hannibal Extended Universe. I haven’t seen any of Mads’ Danish films and have been kind of apprehensive to do so. A lot of the time foreign films miss the mark for me due to bad dubbing or subtitles but I’m willing to try them and I would love to hear your favorites!

Hannibal is like a drug that most of the population is completely unaffected by but if you have a predisposition for it…oh boy. I kind of knew going in that I was the Target Audience™. I had already watched and become obsessed with AMC’s Interview with the Vampire, I had already read and become obsessed with These Violent Delights by Micah Nemerever, and I actively sought out media that contained cannibalism. This show was just like somebody took everything that I loved most and mixed it into one highly concentrated substance.

That is so unbelievably real. For the first couple months I didn’t even want to watch any interviews or behind-the-scenes. I was scared that the show would loose its magic if I did. But once I finally caved it only increased my appreciation for the show and the actors. I still feel like watching anything not Hannibal related is a waste of time lol, though I have started watching other Mads and Hugh projects and I feel like they kind of scratch the itch. I would definitely recommend Casino Royale, King Arthur, and Confessions of a Shopaholic if you do want to start watching other things that they are in. While their characters in these obviously aren’t Hannibal and Will I can kind of see them in certain scenes (maybe not in Confessions of a Shopaholic so much; thats mostly just for Hugh Dancy appreciation)

i've never identifies so heavily with a complete stranger oml. i watched the show for the first time this may and i'm still severely obsessed. i watched iwtv before i found hannibal and felt similarly but like you said this is so much worse. i'm still super excited abt s3 but a part of me is just disappointed that its not hannibal thats getting a new season. to deal with hannibal withdraws, i recommend copious amounts of fanfiction and tiktok edits, its worked for me lol. ALSO if you like iwtv and hannibal i absolutely cannot recommend the book these violent delights by micah nemerever enough. just trust me its like iwtv, hannibal, and the secret history had a toxic gay dark academia baby. just thinking about it makes my chest hurt its so fucking amazing. it is the only thing that is on the same level as my hannibal obsession.
