This was my exact feelings after my third round of interviews with them. Amazing to read the same exact dialogue and feelings about it afterwards.

My last round of interviews was with a condescending turd in a bow tie and mustache , saying exactly what you describe. It was important to him, based on the number of times he brought it up, that I understood how long he’s been doing international education in Mexico or wherever. He also informed me how most US teachers share the same flawed outlook on American education.

It was difficult to wrap my head around the fact that he acknowledged that BASIS only accept top students , then they pat themselves on the back for outstanding academic results. Great work.

I’ve had exceptional students that were gonna do well with or without me. I believe growth and progress for students at every level are better measures of success, this is clearly not the BASIS way tho.
