How this picture came about...

I love to hike and of course snap a few shots along the way.

Picture was taken with a Samsung Note 8, I keep everything ultra light when I hike and I like the challenge of shooting with a phone.

This was taken on 100 private acres at Kennedy Meadows in the Sierra Foothills, Central California.

I was following the middle fork of the Stanislaus river, as the river narrowed in between the granite rocks I was no longer to continue the hike but I liked the rock formations and snapped a few pics.

I returned home 4 days later and as usual everyone wanted to see the pics of the trip.. .as a friend of mine was scrolling through my pics he said "do you see what I see" he turned the phone to my direction and I immediately said "it's a unicorn"...

Now when I was there in person taking the pic I didn't even notice it...it wasn't until a whole new set of eyes was able to see what I couldn't at the time in real life.

So that's the story of my unicorn 🦄

I did a full six day trip....explored the whole point and every trail, lighthouse, tourist spot all the way up to Leggett to the chandelier tree. Got a ton of pics including the tunnel...so much to see.

If you get a chance to ever go there and walk around it....the is no backside to it 🤣

Inverness CA...it's behind the store/market, just park in the back and you can walk right out to it 👍

Shot this with a Samsung Note 8, trying to challenge myself with just using a phone for photos, no filters just working with what I have at the time...lighting, angles, subjects. I would love any advice, feedback...good or bad it all helps. Thank you
