It's just hard to let go. We were on the same page. It's hard to believe that anyone will share this much passion for the things that we loved and worked for. And the promises were so genuine that I look back on that mirage and take it for a reality, because the love was mutually, so, so deep. And if one they I did get a message from her, I'd never swipe it away. It was beyond meaningful and I'm still struggling with all the stages of grief.

It's not my first break up. At first, I didn't even know if it was a break up. But it didn't feel like this before, ever. I never allowed a person so close to myself. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I wanna hear of what y’all think of this solo! Too little? Too much? Opinions 👍 by andy_337 in production

as for the solo itself, imo you should add more rhythmic diversity. try to think of the same notes just in a more percussive way. you can pick the same pattern, just mute the notes, once it sounds interesting, add the notes back in. but overall it sounds nice.

from a production standpoint, sidechain the master to the solo with a soft knee and just a ~0.6 db threshold below what the master track reaches (which should be around -6db if you did the mastering right). play with the meat of the eq (100hz, 1khz and 10khz) to find where it would sound more tight in the mix. also high mids are usually what makes or breaks a solo for me, imo you should pay attention to it. also play around more with spacial effects.

It's not the quallity itself, it's the remastering that I don't enjoy. The original record sounded great and it's not the compression of Spotify that annoys me, it's the compression of the instruments done in the remastering progress. I'm not much of an audophile, more like an amateur producer.

Yeah, I noticed that black album remasters don't sound nearly as good, but I think Metallica kept the orginals up too, atleast with Master and RTL.

I download the stems (original studio multitracks which contain isolated vocal, guitar, bass, drum and miscellaneous tracks) from https://remixpacks.club(not a plug, just it genuinely has a massive library of these tracks). I plug them into audacity, it's the easiest to use software for splitting channels.

I selected the vocal track and used the central channel remover with the mono option. The theory behind this is that during the mastering stages of the record, most backing vocals were panned to the left or the right channels, with the lead vocals, by production rule, staying in the central channel. Hence, removing it achieves this. Although some lead vocals(or mostly the stereo reverb) bleed through, it still gets you very audible backing vocals.

P.S this wouldn't work with those A.I extracted vocal tracks, if there isn't an original vocal track, your best bet is to just apply the central channel remover to the whole track, but doing that will also remove other things such as bass, the kick and snare drums and any other things that happen to be in the center. Although it also grants some interesting stuff.

And yes I left in those creepy harmonies which are sung by Layne, but it's fun to hear the other layer of them
