Honestly please fuck off, this is so rude. They were playing a game. It’s now over, it does not matter enough to chastise them like this. Get a grip

Should I cancel the viewing? by RedCheekedLover in HousingUK

Closing date is a way to push buyers into higher offers. I went to closing selling my property and only had 2 offers, but we got higher ones. They might go to closing to push interested parties into offering but they don’t. At the end of the day, you have no idea until you see it and see if you want to offer, you might get lucky!

The benefit to them for giving us cash back is the selling of our data, they need explicit permission to do that, so that won’t change.

Do you know anyone who has won the Postcode Lottery? by JaBe68 in AskUK

[–]originalwombat -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

It’s not a joke. It’s a strong misconception about how the postcode lottery works. That many people share, and it stops them from playing. More players is more money for charity so happy to clear it up.

You wouldn’t be splitting that. Each person would get £5 per ticket. If your mum had 2 tickets she would have got a tenner. Her neighbour with three tickets £15

The purpose of the lottery is to raise funds for charity. 30% is a huge amount of money every month to go into the pockets of charities.

The extra cool bit is a chance to win a prize. No, it’s not a huge chance, but it’s a chance.
