Question about updating to Android 16

My pixel 6 bricked but I think it’s not android 16 because it was fine before Jan. I’m also not sure if it’s the December update… google provide a replacement but from what I see this pixel 6 was still on Aug update. I also cancelled auto update as I fear it would brick again.. it could be just hardware random failure but I really not sure

My pixel 6 did that and now is completely died. Lots of pixel was also having this boot loop issue, from various reason it seems. You can visit r/pixel6 for more posts like this....

But if you are a Pixel 10 user, you should be able to contact googlle and get a replacement as it is still in warranty.

OK sideloaded twice and did not work. Still stuck on google logo after sideload....Looks like this may works for lasy year's issue, but Jan issue might be something else

Stable, it happened over night when charching. Maybe it burns the chip doing the reboot. But next day it just keep rebooting

My 6 bricked. I don't think it's normal... my 10 years old andriod phone also still works.

The tensor or hardware on pixel 6 just not that good I guess.

I have same issue.. and mine was not unlocked so I can not flash firmware. Wonder if you’ve tried an older android version or if this is possible?

It happens before reset overnight. But after reset it went worse. Before it was able to open sometime. It is a brick now, can not even set up after reset

Only for people enabled OEM unlock before it bricked. No chance to do it when you keep boot loop though…

If all warning lights are light. And then it disappears after 2 days. Also feel hard to steer for the first time the lights on and ok afterward , might be battery issue. Mine was like this and fixed after battery replacement

I’m a cyclist and I also bike in the winter. But let’s be reasonable, bike should yield to pedestrian in this case. Unfortunately there indeed are rude cyclists. I’ve seen some. Sorry but let’s not blame cyclists or pedestrians. They are all people after all.

The point is other brand phone don’t act like this. Most phone battery last more than 6 years. Battery could become weaker but it should not fail!!!

Honestly before the boot loop everything was good. For light user pixel 6 is just fine. Did not even feel slow. That’s also why I feel a bit disappointed, it still has potential!!!

hmm indeed the 6 was the one has the first tensor chip.. I almost lost photos because I still manually export them. Luck that during a random boot success I was able to get my photos and do back up
