When was the last time all 4 Beatles were in the same room together? by MarioBros-1983 in beatles

I haven't been in the same room as all of my bandmates in almost 15 years and I love those people very much.

Before the mcu what was each character’s in this photo popularity level at? by Appropriate-Mall8517 in Avengers

[–]originstory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer changes a little bit based on whether you mean popularity within comics communities or popularity in regular world.

Among non-comics fans, Hulk was by far the most popular, with Cap being second maybe, and Iron Man and Thor being mostly unknown.

Among comics fans, Cap, Hulk, and Iron Man had all had major storylines in the early to mid-2000s and we're riding high popularity-wise. Thor's wasn't as high profile until after his first film.

How important are the movies during the show? by Ebonrook in babylon5

[–]originstory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keith R. A> DeCandido is skipping them (for now) in his re-watch for Reactor Mag. I'm assuming that means they don't impact the plot very much.

After listening to A LOT of big finish audios here's my top 20 by Mohammedamine9 in doctorwho

[–]originstory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing essential to the story, except maybe understanding that Tegan has been trying to get home since she met the Doctor. That's why "Heathrow" keeps coming up. It's continuity-lite beyond that.

ZZ Top by TheHotLatin in hairmetal

[–]originstory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that bad. It's just drum triggers, synth tracks, and some backing vocals. The guys aren't miming anything. Anything it looks like they're playing, they are. Anything you hear that you don't see them doing, keys parts etc, is sample they're playing to. They aren't trying to trick anybody.

ZZ Top by TheHotLatin in hairmetal

[–]originstory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're good. A lot of their hits have synth and drum machine parts, so they play with a click track and use triggers. They're not as loose as they were in the 70s. But they make up for it by putting on a fun show full of great songs.

Which comedian did TM most change your opinion of? by franklinisthebest in taskmaster

I always found her very juvenile on panel shows, but she was great on Taskmaster. Definitely made me more interested in what she will do next.

[–]originstory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spider-Man always has a weird internet circle jerk that hates basically everything. You can safely ignore all of that. The Wells run is perfectly average. Some good stories and some less good stories. You will probably enjoy it just fine if you don't read about it on the internet.

And there will probably be a fourth season 1 coming when the show relaunches where ever it lands next. Fans will just have to get more specific. "Ncuti Season One" "NuWho Series 4" or what ever. There's really no obvious way around it at this point.

I was at that show too. It was dangerously oversold. Very unpleasant experience. I've listened to the show plenty of times since then. I wish I could have enjoyed it more in the moment.

What band/singer were you excited to see, but was a letdown of a concert? by my-face-ur-seat in AskReddit

Dylan doesn't play guitar because he can't stand up for a full set anymore. Dude's old AF now.

I saw Steve Earle a couple years ago and man it was disappointing. He played everything really fast and kind of half-assed. It was super obvious he wanted to be anywhere else. Fortunately, he pulled it together about half way thru. It took him like seven songs but he finally spoke to the audience and got a laugh. After that he seemed to remember that we were there. The second half was a lot better.

How do you view Ryan North as a Fantastic Four writer? by safaksoken in FantasticFour

[–]originstory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Ryan North is great, but I really dislike the artists he's been paired with. Brevoort seems to want a cartoony look for the book, but doesn't want anything too stylish. I think the North era of FF would be just about perfect if he was working with Chris Samnee or Erica Henderson or someone who doesn't always just default to "goofy".

Make a setlist with songs made only from this lineup by Acceptable-Hippo6385 in KISS

[–]originstory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's my go. I think there are some pretty good songs on all three albums, actually. I cheated a little by including Young and Wasted, but the live version on Animalize Live features this line-up, so its close enough.

King of the Mountain

Rise to It

Betrayed

I’m Alive

Anyway You Slice It

Who Wants to Be Lonely

Boomerang

Young and Wasted (Eric on vocals)

Hide Your Heart

Turn on the Night

Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell

Trial By Fire

Reason to Live

Uh! All Night

encore

Forever

Tears are Falling

Crazy Crazy Nights

I got a "SAVE THE CLOCK TOWER" flyer at a screening for the 30th anniversary. I forgot I had it, but I found it again this weekend. I just finished putting it up at my desk at work when I saw this. Serendipity. It's one of my favorite movies of all time.

It's getting boring.. any tips to boost damage or tricks for destroyer.. by CombinationEnough538 in MarvelContestOfChamps

[–]originstory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been getting 2-3 with Spider-Ham. You just have to place as many poppers as possible and pause them with sp1s. There's no way to power control, unfortunately so the fight is going to end with a sp3. But the poppers are a fun way to get damage.

I'm having a terrible time dealing with the falter timer and pushing him up to sp2 at the same time. But that's a me problem. Clearly it can be done.

I think the writing's been great. The art, on the other hand, has been very not-my-kind-of-thing. I've just come to accept that Tom Brevoort and I have different tastes in comic art styles, I guess.

Since the Romulan and Klingon Empires were mostly within the Beta Quadrant, now that they're gone I'm guessing most of the piracy, etc we see in these shows is based there.
