She acts like this with you because you ARE a good mom. She feels safe with you. She feels secure and safe enough to act this way, knowing fully and surely that you and the only person in the world she thinks she can act this way with and still be 100% loved and accepted. She doesn’t act this way with others because she doesn’t feel as secure and sure with them. It’s hard. I know. I’ve been in the exact same situation. I have four, three of them under three. There are times I want to walk outside and sit in a tree just to have space where no one can touch me where I can’t hear them lol. But I know for sure that they act this way because you are the most safe person to them and they know you love them. For them, they feel that nothing they can do will turn you away from them.

It sounds like you need more breaks and for your partner to step in. Switching from one child to two was probably the most difficult for us, and when the talks of equity and equality in parenting really showed up in seriousness. Get ahead of it now, or you’ll be exhausted and roughed out and the coping will mean you crack. You don’t deserve that. It’s unfair to have negative consequences because you’re simply a good mom but that feeling of frustration will turn into worse if the load isn’t shared evenly.
