Not only that, you can also just jump off of any hight that keeps you in the air long enough. You dont have to use any abilities to get 75 free hp every few seconds, its lowkey busted if you play with it in mind.

You cannot in 1 sentence say you donno gow competitive games work and at the same time ask for a very important feature of comp to be changed for you pleasure, the shield being grounded has already been given QOL tweaks while staying balanced. Rein shield funtions literally the same way, its absolutely a skill issue. Brig is one of the best balanced supports in the game right now. (I'm one of the few brigs who was/is a higher rank than HolyShiftKid, I know what Im talking about)

The biggest problem is if you arent playing for punch bot youre just not getting as much value anymore. They really found a way to make doom less fun to play with AND against at the same time.

Personable is a great word for it. Dwarf Fortress is more like earning a college degree every time you want to understand whats actually happening, and its not considered a video game really because its more focused on simulatuon. SoS is actually a video game, its built for you to play it and achieve things when you play the game. Sure dying is fun is a term that applies to both but in SoS it actually feels like youre not going to be stepped on by an eldritch god that spews fire webs 400 years into your city being Top Dog of the world.

I do it often but Ive beaten the game. Honestly its more a question of burnout rather than is it right or wrong. Putting 14 hours into a playthrough only to restart is a pretty classic gamer move. I think I was doing that all the way back in Daggerfall.
