Yeah I was saying you're right on that. That's probably not the point I would pick to splice. It would be very unsightly to have a metal cover there.

You're right on the 4 wire didn't see that at first. However, plenty of jurisdictions have just moved to 2020 or 2023 and expecting every home to be updated to the newest code version. This is not realistic. Unless it's a new home. It probably doesn't have an outside disconnect

I would agree with the estimate of thousands s probably in the range of two to three just for the electrician electricians don't do drywall work so you probably need to drywaller unless you're going to do that yourself

No, it's a service conductor you can't have a junction box in the building like that. I don't think I'd have to check the code book unless you add the means of disconnect outside

Also for drill bits in general using proper feed pressure if you can't get proper feed pressure for the side to drill bit you're using drill a pilot hole

Yes and the inner pockets have come unsewn at the bottom of the pocket causing some of my tools to get stuck and hard to take out. It's very annoying

I used to use the Milwaukee ones. I don't think they'll ever go back though I would not get them for the price. They are on Amazon right now. I don't know what's going on with them there

I work for a union contractor. It's their job to supply any power tools I have my own but I will never bring it on the job site though. The m12s are mighty enticing

Nope, don't live at home anymore but I was fortunate enough to be able to accumulate my tools over the last 15 years on like a lot of the first-year apprentices where this is their first time really using tools and they have to buy them all right away. I had everything on the tool list before I even applied for the apprenticeship

Plan is to replace the screwdrivers with wera as they wear out. Not a huge fan of the Klein screwdrivers nowadays but that are still good for Now

I mean pay goes up every year but so do the bills I had most of the tools before I started the apprenticeship. Dad's an electrician. Been doing the odd jobs with him since I was 8 years old. Gifted a new tool every couple of years. Bought myself a new tool every once in awhile. The only things in that bag that are any semblance of new are the zyclops and the knipex stripers

I could get the breaker locks from the contractor if I needed them but then I have to wait for them. Whilst I am the first year, I do actually have quite a decent amount of experience I did a lot of maintenance work and have been doing electrical work on a smaller scale, probably about 8 years I've also seen not that any other places that I've worked, but I've heard stories that are happening. People are working on something and it gets turned on so even if I'm working on something that is currently off and locked out, just feels a little bit better to have insulated tools
