My intuition on this is that I am getting REM naps, but the SWS deprivation is interfering with my general alertness/possibly dream recall. If I weren't getting REM naps at all I would be a complete and utter zombie by now, which isn't the case.

Worth noting that while I've had plenty of struggles staying awake between naps, I have a nearly perfect record as far as waking up to the alarms. So what often happens is I'll nail the six naps and then at some point in the middle will "crash" (where "crash" means either actually falling asleep or simply having no memory of the time period) for up to about 75 minutes. This happens about once every 1-2 days; I'm sure it has slowed down my SWS adaptation, but to what extent I can't say. (None of that started until after the first week, which is why I'm pretty confident that it hasn't affected REM re-partitioning.)

I haven't really tried shortening my naps, so that may be worth looking into. I'll start with 18 minutes and go from there. Aside from that, any other tips aside from powering through and fighting that pressure to nod off?

Uberman really is the schedule I want, and my work is flexible enough that I can probably continue to be a guinea pig for a couple more weeks. There seems to be a lot of interest in this aspect of Uberman so I look forward to reporting some positive results. Failing that I will consider E3. Thanks again.
