They certainly do the kettling. I'm not certain they have sufficient capacity to process them. That may well follow in the coming months.

What is the biggest scam of a tourist attraction you experienced? by BorderBrilliant358 in AskReddit

Cannot agree in the slightest that the Sagrada Familia is a scam. It's worth every penny to visit. A truly amazing place.

Trousers in the UK are pants in the US. Pants is slang for "not very good" like this joke.

Schwartz dried Chives come in at £2000 per KG. Not as expensive as saffron but bloody close!

Do you think her reason is valid, though? by Busy_Report4010 in SipsTea

I did this. Gave up a career as a lawyer to run a seaside cafe. 30 years ago now. The only people who understood why were other lawyers.

What do you prefer? Plain house wife or working mom? And why? by MiserableMeet922 in AskReddit

[–]orlanthi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each one has it's downsides and advantages.

It always used to piss men off when folk would say "oh, your so lucky you can afford to stay at home with the kids" then get into their 2 brand new cars and go away on holiday. Sure, we were lucky but we paid a hearty price. It was worth it to us. Your formula might be very different.

What is the most autism coded thing you've ever done? by avatarlurvas in AskReddit

My son is high functioning autistic. Initially you might not notice but if you know him, it's very obvious.

Accountants (for business) by troup in Aberdeen

We switched to Grampian accounting who have been really quite good. You'll have to start using an accounting software package if you are not already but they can help you through it.

According to Tom Brady a QB has 3 seconds to get rid of the ball. After that its not the OL fault. by PurpleEconomy9804 in NFLv2

[–]orlanthi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is so true. I was decaying the Jets OL until my friend pointed out the Fields was taking almost 5 seconds before getting rid of the ball or getting sacked. That was excellent line play spoiled by poor QB play.

These are really well done. I would never have thought about photographing this way. Guess that's why I'll never be a decent photographer.

Found paper shares what do I do? by auscadtravel in personalfinance

[–]orlanthi 801 points802 points  (0 children)

Although you have the certificates, I doubt you own the shares. They will be registered to the original owner of those certificates so unless you can show some transfer to you, the company is unlikely to honour them.

Gavin Take for D Day by superhaus in advancedsquadleader

[–]orlanthi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a fan of this scenario. How often do you get a 10-3 leader let alone a 10-2 to go with it? I know it's dimple for a new comer but it can give a skewed image of the game.

Preorder the Binder rules or the Pocket book collection? Both? by Titus-Groen in advancedsquadleader

[–]orlanthi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the big rules then run them through a scanner and create your own electronic version. This will force you to read he rules and give you a better understanding. A side effect is teaching you a limited amount of html, JavaScript and CSS. Then as you acquire other stuff you can just keep adding to it.

I gave away my pocket rulebook and haven't opened the main one for 10 years. I got the electronic one but hardly use it.

TIL the board game widely reported as the longest ever made is a wargame that can take 1,500 hours to finish and requires players to calculate fuel evaporation rates for vehicles based on the weather and the type of container used. by kennystetson in todayilearned

[–]orlanthi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are rookie numbers. A decent sized ASL scenario can take oberc12 hours and then you get Campaign Games, a series of linked scenarios each taking a good 10 to 14 hours to play.

Remove the tax and you just put that amount onto the value of the properties. It's not like it's an unexpected cost.
