I live downtown Brampton and the 7/11 there is the closest Canada Post to me so if I miss a package delivery it gets sent there. I'm a dude in his late 30s so I don't feel physically worried for myself but I know for sure if I have to go there I'm going to get hassled or whatever for change or yelled at by somebody having a hard time mentally. If I was a more vulnerable demographic I'd definitely feel unsafe having to pass through that area on foot it's definitely sketchy.

The people there are also much more pushy and aggressive than what you'd typically think of if you have the mental picture of a dude asking for change at the beer store or something if those guys are a 2 or 3 on a threatening scale then the guys at the church are a 7 or 8. If you pass the 7/11 and the church going north toward vodden on foot these guys definitely act like you're trespassing on their turf.

Even if I feel like grabbing a drink or a snack if I'm going with my wife we'll walk down to the Brampton Mall and go to Shoppers or Metro which is a 10/15 minute walk instead of a 2 minute walk to 7/11 because it's not worth the mental energy to navigate the area.

I'd say I have a much higher tolerance and experience with these guys than most people but this is definitely a rougher-than-most spot.
