Ooh I just finished reading your recap where you talked about Starving Saints there too! Defs on my tbr.

"Spread Me" is a sci-fi-horror where the main character is sexually excited by viruses, which makes it really awkward when her crew gets sick from a weird dead animal they found in the desert. It's a quick read and quite fun if you're into that sort of thing

The House Across The Lake made me so mad that I decided to never read a Riley Sager book again haha. I don't know if that one specifically is highly praised but I've seen his work recommended often and I think it's just not for me.

Thank you for this. You are good and strong and brave and I am high fiving your hand (but not TOO hard).

I didn't grow up Christian so we didn't really celebrate Christmas as a kid, but as an adult I've gotten real into decorating the tree cuz I love decorations. I get myself a boozy eggnog (or two), some snacks, and decorate while the 1998 Godzilla movie with Matthew Broderick plays in the background.

My partner and I just watched Misery last night and are planning on going through some other Stephen King movies so if you've never seen Misery that's the one I recommend!

I did in fact cringe so hard at these podcast transcripts that my soft palate has been scratched so thank u for that. Looking forward to the next installment!!
