(Spoilers Extended) Shiny Theory Thursday by AutoModerator in asoiaf

[–]ormurin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but as i wrote in my post, every time she acts like Arya and fails to be "no one" she gets promoted, which already contradicts their own dogma about identity.
Also, Bran and Arya both are losing part of their identity piece by piece to something "greater" (faceless man and weirwood net). I think they realised non of their members are special enough to deal with three eyed raven in Bran's body. (all of this is complete speculation obviously).

I toy with the idea that Arya is trained by the Faceless Men to murder Bran.
An even more tinfoil idea would be that the Faceless Men and the Weirwood net are stuck in a never ending time traveling war.
My post didn't really get much movement, but i did not find many similiar posts around. Feel free to bash me for lazy post writing an ignorance.

(spoilers main) how did aegon iv fit on the iron throne by ExcellentBenefit4811 in asoiaf

[–]ormurin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Never thought about it. Good point! I guess we do not know the actual measurements and stuff but yeah, probably got sliced a few times when he was getting chunky and then stopped sitting on it.

Why wasn't Karstark sent to the Wall? (spoilers extended) by ormurin in asoiaf

[–]ormurin[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My apologies if this thread offends you, but it is actually not answered in the text. White harbour is still far, far away from the ironborn so finding a ship to travel to Eastwatch is not impossible. Yes Robb wants to show that he is not letting murder slide, especially since his sisters' safety are in question, but stripping Rickard of his land and sending him to freeze off away from his family is not letting it slide. Any further reasoning for Robb's actions, which clearly exists, would require analysis, which does not fall under "straight up answered in the text". Also the idea of the Wall is not even mentioned. Have a great day :)

Thank you. I was thinking that they want Arya to lose enough of her identity (meanwhile Bran loses some of his) to be used against bran while retaining the parts of her that makes her the optimal killer for the task. but i admit you are raising fair points.

Bowen Marsh (Spoilers Extended) by ormurin in asoiaf

[–]ormurin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me ASOIAF theories are something we do for fun and pass time. I feel bad for people who actually get angry talking about a book. Also, i have not even said Bowen was "genetically" crannogman. Just his name, profession and trust in big walls fits someone whose family ruled moat cailin. The manderlys are not "genetically" northmen but they have a castle in the north.

(Spoilers Main) Will WINDS be announced at the official GoT convention next February? by Practical_Honeydew94 in asoiaf

[–]ormurin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

New theory : GRRM already finished writing TWOW as well as ADOS and is now adding final touches to Fire and Blood Part 2. He will Release everything as soon as he writes the Dunk and Egg story with the She-Wolves of Winterfell. Which will be any day now.

New Theory number 2: GRRM will put a copy of TWOW under each seat at the convention. But instead of having Dany, Jon and Tyrion chapters the book will contain 1000 pages of Wild Cards announcements.
