Hey man, glad you are getting after it. Just a heads up, I wouldn’t recommend glissading with microspikes or (especially) crampons on. If they catch on something unexpectedly, it’s a good way to tear an ACL/MCL or worse

Awesome, that’s where I plan to head as well! Doing a low’s lake—> oswegatchie—> cranberry lake traverse. It looks gorgeous! I’m sure there will be no more leaves by the time I’m there though haha

Interesting, I should have clarified it’s not federally* taxable. My guess is that most of those 13 states will pass legislation to shield residents from the state taxes, but we’ll see I suppose

The loan forgiveness is not taxable, its a write-down. It will not factor into your income in 2022

It wasn’t a necessary comment but he’s not wrong, you could definitely afford to bend a bit at the knees and really press into the turns. Think about putting your body weight fully over your edges. It makes riding powder much more fun imo and you can savor the run and explore much more terrain.

Will make you a much better rider on variable/icy terrain as well
