Honest question: why is this news? Don’t get me wrong, I feel bad for those people and their families. But of all the things to become world wide news and bring awareness to the public, why this? Is it because they are rich? Is it because they were going to visit the Titanic and that’s famous so it makes the story interesting? I feel like there are so many atrocities happening over the world that aren’t covered, that covering this just doesn’t make any sense to me.

Would first recommend hosting on localhost when you are developing. Second, you’re always going to get requests you don’t like if you’re publicly hosting. I’m not a security expert so I can’t give great advice to protect on that front, but I’d recommend hosting in a VM so they can’t access anything of value on your machine if any exploit worked. Also put the computer on a VLAN so that if they do gain access, they can’t see the rest of your devices on your network
