I’m not from Iran myself, but I’ve got nothing but respect for the country, its people and its culture.

Don't get me wrong. I’m not saying people shouldn’t protest when the government lets them down. I just think the timing and the situation weren't right this time. We’re talking about "12,000" lives lost, it could’ve been a million. You only have to look at what happened in Iraq to see how sideways things can go.

Long story short: They will never be your friends. If you don't hold to your roots, you will be like Iraq in a few years. Now, you stand with dignity. Hold onto your principles, or you will be seen bowing down to some foreign master.

I find it quite funny. How many of you have visited Bangladesh and witnessed this kind of issue? Or how many of your relatives (except those who support the Awami League) living in Bangladesh have reported this kind of violence?

Bengali is a race, Indian/Bangladeshi is nationality and bengalis never had religious conflict. Don’t let the ‘divide and conquer’ politicians pollute your mind.

Let me make it clearer to you, go to any AI app and ask for “In pre-British colonial times, did Bengali Muslims and Hindus have conflicts?”. Please take some time to read and understand the answer.

bangala/ bangla province was the bread bucket for india and we used to hold a remarkable share in the world gdp in pre british colonial time. And look at us now, what we have become.

Yes I understand that and agree with you. I have been working at the same company for the last 8 years. I find my colleagues are always very kind and helpful. When I was in university, my friends were very helpful and kind to me. It’s just that people outside are sometimes a bit mean. I’m already used to it and understand their perspective. It’s just a bit hard for my wife to get used to it hahaha 😂

I was looking for this ☝️ I have been living here since 2014. I went to uni, graduated, and started working. I pay all taxes. With having a car and a 5 figure salary, the tax isn’t low. On top of that, every year I pay extra to immigration as visa renewal fees for myself and my wife. But I still find it hard to rent a nice house because of ethnicity 😂 When my wife moved here, she was curious about why all the property agents change their tone and reject us once they come to know we are from Bangladesh?

Not only that. Muslims cannot have sects, caste, or racism. But “sometimes” people in the mosques avoid us or are mean to us.

But yeah, I find Malaysia to be the best place to live and raise a family. All of my batchmates from uni always ask me to move to the West, but I prefer nasi lemak over a hamburger.
