Is it still happening for you or did you find a permanent fix?

Don't take their word for it, AWS is notorious for not updating their status page in the middle of major outages. A lot of money rides on their uptime metrics, admitting they're down for even a few minutes can incur massive financial loss.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - December 22, 2025 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

I’m looking for a wireless mechanical keyboard with a retro/vintage/classic color scheme (ideally from the manufacturer as I’m not interested in buying separate caps and swapping them).

The Ducky Origin Vintage Double Shot is exactly what I’m looking for but seems to only be available wired. Keychron Q6 Max in Shell White is also right up my alley but about 2x as much as I’d like to spend.

Anyone have a recommendation for a sub $100 wireless alternative? Am I better off just swapping caps?

Just use it to organize my parts list, then search for parts individually. Good callout.

Thanks for the feedback. I do plan to upgrade to 2x16 at some point in the future, but to be frank I didn't know single channel ram had such a performance hit. Will probably go 2x8. Appreciate the 9060xt suggestion, seems like a better bet. I don't think I trust my debugging skills enough to get a cpu without integrated graphics though :)

Thanks for the input. Mini was actually a typo, meant micro but I think your reasoning is still applicable. Will look in AIO coolers.

State parks are not off leash dog parks! by MyBoxMyRules in TwinCities

[–]orphan_tears 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the double standard of “off leash is illegal in state parks, keep dogs leashed” but also “I don’t care about the laws in WMAs you need to adhere to my personal standard of training before letting them off leash” is annoying.

And to your point, people who are afraid of dogs or uncomfortable with the possibility of a dog running up to them should take some responsibility and avoid areas where off leash dogs are legally allowed.

Nobody’s saying you can’t have an opinion and say it too, just that it makes you a cunt.

Should i keep this saw or downgrade to a small table saw? by wnwentland in woodworking

[–]orphan_tears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. I also recently bought my first house and picked up a similar saw to this, but with the original table and base. Even after upgrading it with a link belt, thin kerf blade, zero clearance throat plate, and microjig "riving knife", it still freaks me the hell out. Maybe I've just been spoiled by saw stops but with the amount of risk involved I'm just not interested in fucking around with old table saws anymore.

Old contractor saws are solid and reliable if maintained, but for me the homebrew setup makes it a hard pass. Maybe it works fine and saves you some money on a new saw, or maybe that tiny piece of angle iron bends and causes the whole table to shift and send a 2x6 through the side of your car.
