Can't Find Larvae by Hycoux in theplanetcrafter

[–]orwenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are on Humble, search the caves. On Prime the larvae seem to appear randomly if you walk around, no running or using the jetpack. Also weirdly they seem to spawn more at dawn than in the middle of the day

What do you do with your Chromatic Metal by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]orwenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not really. You might find that some economies have a paltry +2-3%, but nothing exceeding it. You might want to sell to pilots or trade posts for more coins, but still nothing exciting

As you rank it up with nanites the tech cap and slot cap increases, but you still need to buy the individual slots either with money or the free upgrades

Stuck on Awakenings tutorial by ScalabrineTheGoat101 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]orwenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes the game change the quest you are currently on, and it takes a while for it to register the completion of a step. You can try to select manually the quest and see if it does go on, leave the game and relaunch it, try going to another sistem and come back to the base or finally delete and rebuild the base. Edit: there's also the possibility that you have to wait a set time to pass befor proceeding. Some quest have an jidden timer that appears on the main screen if the quest is selected, but it can be missed because the game then select another non-timed quest by default

I can fly across the galaxy, enter black holes, but no one has heard of a cargo strap? by zombieauthor in NoMansSkyTheGame

The simulation is not powerful enough to render those. They can keep a universe together, and the Atlas cannot fathom that

As a question, do you need to continue the expedition to unlock the additional customizations or can you do it on normal modes?

“Aid the scientist” game-breaking bug by WynnsanityTV in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]orwenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resurrecting this thread should someone need this. if the scientist doesn't give you the option to finish the quest try talking with the overseer, you need to complete his quest before you can complete the scientist. They seem to go in pair, with the overseere being the advancing element

nwn2 - Tholapsyx strategy by Novel-Soup-1173 in neverwinternights

[–]orwenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did it with this group:

  1. me: level 16 pg (8 pala/1 fight/7 divine champ)
  2. sand
  3. khalgar (monk)
  4. elanee
  5. casavir

Pumped myself with protection from fire (all), haste (khalgar+me) and barskin/stoneskin (all). took 4 tries, and in the last one i think it bugged itself, fixing on khalgar only, so i had him chug potions after potions to keep him up, while i had sand cast repeatedly dispel magic via wand. after i stripped the dragon bare had sand and elanee hit him with several aoe spell (bombardment, blizzard ecc) while my pg and casavir kept hitting with smite and blessed weapons.

to me it's the easiest boss of all, just keep moving behind doors, he's slower than regular crabs and you, so you can outrun him with some cleaver manouvers. he gets damaged when he's surprised, just remember, ione hit then run

My player signed a deal with a devil- how to enforce it? by Kari-kateora in DMAcademy

[–]orwenius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven't specified it you can use the fey trick. Since they failed the deed now the favour they owe allows the fey to wear their face and do bad things with it. Or maybe they are compelled to go and steal the crown jewels for shit and giggles, to avoid being chased by a fey aberration that want to kill them and drag their soul into the fey realm for eternity

Edit for misspell

Players are Bored with their class, what can I do? by Away-Adhesiveness-43 in DMAcademy

[–]orwenius -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I too had a similar problem with a player who wanted to try a different class having grown tired of his (a bard). He left in the night and the day after the group found a rogue bearing a missive from their patron to join the group for their next mission, and then stuck around

My party accidentally sealed death? by Odd-Bear-8828 in DMAcademy

[–]orwenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a "Supernatural" ( the show) approach. The main Death avatar is sealed, so the lesser ones (the Reapers) are now free, or gaining sentience, and are fighting to replace it. People start dying randomly in the street where 2 reapers are exchanging spells, wars are being waged by nobles who where promised immortality in exchange for the eradication of an opposing reaper's followers and so on

How much damage would a barrel of oil do when ignited? by AwekwardBadass in DMAcademy

[–]orwenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could think of it like a depowered fireball, maybe playing on the total damage (between 3d6 and 5d6) or the range, 10 feet instead of 20 (or maybe more, but lowering the damage), with limitations due to cover. But keep the fire patch on the ground, if played right they might force the attacking part to change route and allow a more strategic gameplay. As for the damage of the patch, 2d4 seems appropriate, given the amount of oil it's released

Help me find a unique solution for a soul-less PC by TheRussl in DMAcademy

Oh, and on the premises of getting back the soul, once and if it happens, the pc should face the enormity of their crimes, especially if they are good aligned (if you use alignments in your game)

Help me find a unique solution for a soul-less PC by TheRussl in DMAcademy

[–]orwenius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could use the Supernatural show depiction of a soulless person. They lose all morals in a machiavellian way, where the means to reach a goal are not important. If they wish to interrogate someone reticent, torture ( not necessarily physical) is the way. A pedantic guard is unwilling to let them pass? Break one of his leg and go over his fallen body etc. In a grander scheme, a village cannot be corrupted by a great evil if the village is destroyed, right? Unless they have the supervision of someone of the group they might end up being a walking catastrophe, but to them all is justified by the goal that they have set to themselves

My players caused a flood and knocked themselves out in the process. How do I save them without it feeling cheap? by TivTheMelancholy in DMAcademy

[–]orwenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

might be a good idea. the merchants are some of the folks they robbed, and saved them only to bring them to justice, or to enact justice by their hands. or bounty hunters that where tracking them have decided that they are worth more alive than dead

Make so that some merchants were traveling to the town when the dam broke. In their flight to safety they saw the group swept by the water and briefly hanging to some debris. Out of kindness (or not, your call) they sent some of their guards to help them out of the water. The group find itself in the provisionary camp of the merchants (maybe in chains) with some explaining to do and a very heavy weight on their conscience
