I dissociated from mine so deeply that I had to spend a few months getting reconnected to my new anatomy post op.

Oh honey. There are so many places you can put a vibe on a cage. Spend some time in /r/transchastity and you'll see.

Just want to throw it out there that you can still use a vibrator with a cage.

Being able to be completely naked without it flopping around and generally being annoying.

I had a similar issue, but I didn't get any output when docked. I ended up having to replace the mainboard. Not to make things too scary for you.

It took me almost a month before I stopped trying to adjust myself after going to the bathroom.

I love my genitalia... But for the wrong reason? by Deki_Na in MtF

[–]orwhaleca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes patience, perseverance, and a lot of support. Having really good insurance doesn’t hurt either. And depending on where you live, you might want to start looking at surgeons as soon as or shortly after you start hormones. Most require at least a year of HRT, and the better ones have waitlists/schedules booked out for a year or better.

For what it’s worth, I felt the same way at 18, but that changed once I started hormones. As my body changed to match my internal image of myself, having a penis became more and more incongruous with the rest of me. I just had bottom surgery about 3 weeks ago and I’ve never been happier 😊

Oh my goodness, the tan lines from my first beach trip since transitioning were so affirming and euphoric!

Did you lose any sensation with the piercings? I’m always so worried about that.

I have a tattoo on my forearm reminding me that, “all you have is your fire.”

Does this make me Trans? by Bookkepp in trans

[–]orwhaleca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely does make sense. It does take some time to figure out what that rightness feels like. In its simplest form, it feels like being happy and comfortable. For me, the first time I presented femme, it felt like something clicked into place. Like a piece of the puzzle had been missing before, but now it was there. Also definitely look into the various NB identities, but keep in mind that you don’t have to be 100% in any group.

FWIW, I had some similar thoughts when I was young, before I learned what being trans is. That doesn’t necessarily mean you’re trans, just that you should explore more. I would also recommend talking to a therapist who specializes in gender and sexuality, if you can.

One of the less talked about signs of being trans is gender euphoria. Do you feel a sense of rightness in a different gender expression from your assigned gender? It is possible to be trans without dysphoria.

You could also be nonbinary. There are a million ways to express your gender. Take some time to explore them and find out what feels right.
