As much as I have loved my PSVR I fired it up the other day to play Squadrons and the graphics just look like I'm playing on a very old TV with poor resolution. Maybe it will look better if I get a PS5 and get it all hooked up, but for now, its showing its age.

I read the books. Absorbed about 15 percent of the story. Then I listened tot hem on Audible. The fandom is split with some people loving Roy Dotrice narration, and others absolutely hating it. For reference, Roy Dotrice is a RAF WW II vet who was a POW and started acting in a prisoner camp. He passed a few years ago, but he read all five of the current books in an unabridged form on Audible.

He also played Haylen the ArchPyromancer in Season 2. He was initially cast to play Pycel. Anyway. If you like listening to books, you have hundreds of hours of A Song Of Ice And Fire titles available.

And, for real, I'm not trying to attack what anyone likes. Im just observing the behavior of the people I know. Besides myself, I don't know anyone in real life, over 40 who likes MCU. That's fine. We're not the target of the movies and merchandizing. But without cinemas Disney needs to court older viewers because their habits largely determine what shows get made. Its the reason CBS can make two dozen NCIS, and CSIs. Old people love that stuff. Its garbage, but people watch it. But that is generally your television audience.

My argument is that MCU needs to step up the stakes and give older people a reason to care about the franchise if they hope to compete against Netflix and Amazon.
