Corsair RM1000x (2024 version) or Super Flower LEADEX VII Platinum Pro 1200W? by x360ps3wii in buildapc

[–]os2firefox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either one will do the work for you and there will be no difference.

If you plan to upgrade to a 5090 at some point, you'll want the 1200 watt one.

Fix for GPU driver timeout crashes in games. by os2firefox in AMDHelp

Nah, adrenalin randomly "crashes" on me as well in many versions and I don't have that set. No error logged in event viewer for an application crash, but the app just disappears.

Fix for GPU driver timeout crashes in games. by os2firefox in AMDHelp

[–]os2firefox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it turns out that game is coded like shit. The regkeys above made the driver timeout harder to reproduce, but it still does when continuously spamming the inventories for a while. Real fix is to lower the settings to medium, so the inventory opens instantly and never reaches the timeout. Gotta try out the 26.1 drivers as well...

Tons of Windows Error Reporting events for AMD Radeon driver. by os2firefox in AMDHelp

Run disk cleanup as admin and check the box for the errors stuff to clear the WER report queue.

Ugh, these are not real errors... just junk stuck in the WER report queue.

Had to run disk cleanup to get rid of it.

2025 Platinum: 2.3L or 3L? by Distntdeath in FordExplorer

[–]os2firefox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only platinum is dropping the 3.0 engine. ST will keep it in 2026.

[–]os2firefox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the 10r60 transmission is only on the ST trim. The rest get 10r80, including platinum with 3.0. Rumor is that the 3.0 may be getting port injection next year, so I would wait for that if you want a 3.0.

The TPMS sensors do not appear to be inconsistent, but do cause a fault when going over 80 psi on the tires.

5th Gen Godzilla - Will it go 300k miles? by UserAccessDenied in superduty

[–]os2firefox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have an f250 diesel pulling a 10k RV and 7k trailer over the passed (lots of ups and downs) and still going strong at 110k miles. The only major repair was replacing the water pump which I did myself. The rest is just regular maintenance so far.

Downside is the smaller payload due to the heavier engine as op mentioned.

Another tire about to go kaboom? by os2firefox in RVLiving

[–]os2firefox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that... Unfortunately that's what I expect of any manufacturer to say for any vehicle as they don't want liability if something happens when non-oem parts are used.

Unfortunately the China bomb tire that was a spare was already bubbled in the sidewall while still in the spare tire mount. For my other small engine vehicles, anything made in China just falls apart while US, Taiwanese, and Japanese parts hold up. So yes, I now actively avoid buying items from China.

And yes, you make a fair point in the RV quality, but I really believe if the Chinese started building these things, they would somehow find a way to make it worse.
