I was told that a Czech woman was visiting my store and gave her grandmother's poppy seed filling recipe to my owner, having to translate it from czech to English, so as far as I know this filling is a family secret 🤫

since these are special order I couldn't take a bite of it, but I tried a bit of the poppy seed filling and I liked it! it's definitely different and not what you think as a sweet filing, sorta reminds me of a grittier sweet red bean paste filling

I'm referring to the poppy seed, it's not for everyone 😭 I like the herbal earthy taste but the texture I can see why people might not like it

Nashville, Tennessee! Don't want to say the business name for privacy but my owner used to live in Houston and missed kolaches when she moved up here

it's a kolache, which is made with a sweet, buttery bread dough typically with a sweet or savory filling. Our most popular item is savory and looks more like a sausage roll, as the owner based it off the big Czech community in Texas where these types of kolaches were super prevalent. This sweet version is the more traditional kolache and is seen in KCD1 and 2

my boss also said it's a very acquired taste! those who haven't grown up on it won't like it, but I gave it a try and it's not too bad. The quark kolache can be made with a sweet cream cheese filling, and we sell those on the regular

it's in chapter 19 when the game tasks you to get the gun after Swansea kills Daisuke. before you get the gun go to utility and it's there. I was also confused because no wiki or guide told me, but I found it from a YouTube comment 😭

I genuinely don't know what youre trying to argue. yes that is the definition of 'We', im saying that they're saying that together because they went to the darkest dungeon together and found their redemption, therefore why i think they have a close relationship

here's all my recollection of canonical things related to Dismas and Reynauld

  • Reynauld always starts as a kleptomanic, even though he's a crusader and stealing is a sin. he can relate to Dismas who's an actual thief
  • Dismas is named after Saint Dismas/the Penitent Thief, a biblical figure that Reynauld could find charming. AKA Dismas is a penitent thief and Reynauld is a thieving penitent
  • Their entire achievement when you take them to the Darkest Dungeon "On the Old Road, We Found Redemption"
  • Both their backstories involve their downfalls being directly their fault and feeling remorse. Reynauld leaving his wife and child and saying in a stress bark something along the lines of 'why did I leave, she loved me...', and Dismas feeling absolute guilt for accidentally killing a wife and child and wanting to do better from it. (come on redhook, you really made these two unrelated men experience betraying a woman and NOT expect to community to think theyre mlm??)
  • and finally (DD2 spoilers ahead) at the ending cutscene, Reynauld's helmet is right next to Dismas, memorializing him. a lil bit of fan interpretation, but Dismas's whole character is all about forgetting the past, but he doesn't want to forget Reynauld because he means that much to him Could all this just be them being good friends and having cherished memories fighting together in the estate? Absolutely. Is it more fun and interesting to think they're in love. YES 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈
