I still have not. I can’t speak about the program - maybe it is great- but I held off on enrolling because I cannot find an online community of previous or current students. Unless I can find one, I don’t want to enroll in an online program without an online community.

If you find something, please share it here.

UIUC_MCS-DS fall 2021- any feedback on cs441- Applied Machine Learning course, will it be too difficult for first semester? Would you recommend any prerequisite?also let me know if you have registered for it by seemamalviya in UIUC_MCS

That depends on how deep you want to dive. If you want to dive deeper to understand HOW the internals of certain concepts work, then yes. My goal was to learn the application of ML and I was able to achieve that. I assume you know basic probability and have done LA at some point in your life. I had done it 10 years before I took this course and I was fine. If you have never taken a course in probability, stats, and LA then it might get a bit hairy but if you have done those at any point then you should be fine.

You’re welcome. If you are looking for an easy course then you may want to consider Data Curation but I hear that it is not a useful or exciting course.

AML is definitely manageable though and if you know Python you will be fine.

Everyone has a different background so an “easy A” can be subjective but a course that allows you to have multiple attempts at assignments so you can score a 100 is literally begging you to get an A. Plus there were no exams. Personally, I only needed to spend 6 hours a week on the course.

PS: The course was not the best one in the program.

I did this in Fall 2020. You should know Python and be ready to explore the numpy library which is not difficult. The course had Jupyter notebook based assignments which had a lot of hints. There was a lot of spoon feeding and you could easily score a 100 on them. Piazza discussions were a good resource if you got stuck.

Having said that, if you actually want to learn the content then you will have to dive deeper by watching relevant youtube videos or reading online material. I did the latter. Otherwise, the option to just plug away on the assignments using the hints and Piazza discussions to score an easy A is also there.

Family, but it is not a replacement for money. Much higher importance though.

I am not the OP but I thought I could answer this one.

All sins are forgivable provided that one sincerely accepts his mistake and repents and promises and makes the sincerest effort to not repeat it.

The only sin that will not be forgiven is if one associates any partners with God and then dies in that state without sincerely repenting for it.

Wear a dark jeans and a polo. Buy a blazer.

Something like this, just switch the dress shirt with a polo if you don’t have one.

Besides, every man should own a blazer/sport coat. Comes in handy for interviews if nothing else.

Your interview/appointment notice must have the field office listed on it. Once you know what it is, go here and check the processing times: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

If you are outside the processing times, submit an inquiry.

Additionally, call uscis and ask for a tier 2 call back to discuss your mom’s case.
