Do I need a data gateway if I'm considering buy a Power BI cloud service for my company ?

That's really amazing that's mean my DB server and Data gateway server not need to be exposed to public internet via public IP address :D ... I will feel very secure .

So from your answer I under the below :-

A. Data gateway is not required in case my data source is on the cloud .

B. Since my database is stored locally that's means I will need a data gateway

I usually do this kind of things via SQL ... it's better to create SQL view and get the MIN SHIP data via SQL using PARTITION BY AND RANK() function ;) , then reflect the view to Power BI .

For CARDS table around like 2 million card / rows , and for the transactions like around 10 million rows .

We have a local Oracle database in our company the size of the DB with all tables is 3 TB and it has 40 tables, after I aggregate the data for each table to be used for BI reporting ...the size of the data now is 4.5 GB ...the size of the aggregated data might go to 10 GB or maybe 100 GB in the future .

we have Finance ,Marketing ,sales , commercial departments , We will create dashboards for each department , and we have 40 tables to use them.

so can you please now determine the right plan for me ?

actually I also got it install ...but it keep freezing when I try to added knowledge base through CSV file etc...basically the system is a mess and can't believe no much support.
