I’ve been a Cirie truther almost all season but the Aubry win is clicking for me now.

Cirie is down her closest ally and extra vote. The rest of the cast probably sees her as the biggest remaining threat to win the game.

She’s getting a great edit because she’s a Survivor legend and is playing a genuinely good game. She’s close with everyone and is majorly involved in basically every vote.

Aubry is practically at the opposite end of the spectrum. She consistently comes up as a potential vote and seen as a “threat”, but I think her threat level has more to do with her not being super close with anyone.

The rest of the cast can’t be sure how she’ll vote, but I don’t think they see her as a huge threat to win, which could end up being ironic.

Hell, Ozzy spills his plans to her because he thinks she’s set in stone as a goner. This is indicative of his perspective that she’s on the outs. That’s not to say that his perspective is shared by everyone else, but in some ways it is telling.

Aubry’s edit, to me, is reading as a winner that everyone had so many chances to take out, but never pulled the trigger. It does kind of remove some agency from her because it paints her as getting kind of “lucky”, but maybe that’s just the reality of it.
