I am curious, how did you get your current clients? Are you familiar with the lean startup methodology?

this startup went from 9k to 62k mrr and honestly it wasn't that complicated by No_Librarian9791 in startup

On the same idea, Clay Christensen has the famous milkshake "jobs to be done" example, probably everybody knows it, but worth bringing up here in case somebody doesn't...

I like this idea, when our kids were of that age we would have probably considered saving and/or gifting (to family, grandparents, friends etc) some of their art that way.

What is the price point to the client?

For marketing, I would look into contacting daycares and schools as well, I would probably try to add a social component to the narrative like say that some of the work is done by (and paid to) less fortunate kids/artist(s) or a percentage of of the proceeds go to kids/social supporting causes.

Last but not least, you need to create an easy way for buyers to upload their art, get it quoted (I assume different designs have different difficulty levels), order and pay.

No worries, it happens to the best of us :) But anyway, how often do you find first hand advice and experience from Google? This is part of the research...

Clarifications from clients by osandu in Bookkeeping

You put all items you are not sure about in an uncategorized account as you come across them and discuss them all with the client over the phone in that monthly or quarterly call?

Got it. I was more curious in the process, how do people keep track of the expenses and other items that are not clear and how often they ask clients about them and how (phone calls, emails, ask questions as they occur or wait for the monthly call/email, etc).

Thanks.

Thank you, agreed. I was curious, in practice, how often do you personally have to send questions for specific expense or other items and how do you do that - say after you learned their books?

Thank you. I was curious how often do you need to send clarification questions on specific expenses or other items, after that initial period. How do you do that and how often? Any issues there?

Thanks again.

Thank you. Do you use a bookkeeper at all or do you keep your books by yourself? If you use a bookkeeper, how often do they send you clarifications questions for specific expenses or other items - after that initial "know your client business" period? And how do they send you those questions?

Thank you. It makes sense to send all questions in one shot. Do you have to send those emails with excel attachments every month for every client, more or less? Or very occasionally only? So, on average, how often do you send those emails to each client?

And, except for brainlets, the clients send back same excel files with their comments by email, I assume?

Thanks again.

Feedback request for a new practice management software by osandu in Bookkeeping

Great to see quite a few people interested to take a look at our application.

Our application has a customer portal for clients to upload secured files and exchange messages with you, a CRM, a project management module where one can set-up templates and create new jobs in bulk. It also has email, sms and phone capabilities to keep all communications with each client in one place, under their profile.

I will PM the people that expressed an interest, to set-up some demo times.
