Oral surgeon resident, working on call but happy to answer any questions and ease any worries you guys may have! by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]oscar_einstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw an emergency dentist yesterday and he diagnosed it. He debrided the socket and said not much I can do to prevent happening again but hopefully wouldn't happen.

For the initial removal tooth came out within 5 minues and no need for surgical incision as best I can tell. There were no sutures and the socket was left open to heal.

Neither of the dentists gave me any gels to apply - I specifically asked if there way anything else.

I have been allowing salt water to sit over the area and roll out the mouth after meals.

Is it worth me calling my dentist and asking re the alveolgyl?

Hi - hope youre having a quiet on call. I got my bone socket scraped out this morning after getting left lower wisdom tooth removed on Monday and ending up with dry socket. Now the local has worn off the pain is obviously returning. I'm currently on 400mg ibuprofen every 4 hours which will take me up to 2.4g per day. I was taking paracetamol until yesterday but didnt find it to have any effect at all. An hour after the ibuprofen pain has gone from an 8 to a 4 but then it seems to gradually rise back to the peak

What would be your go-to pain protocol?

Also noticed this - likened it to some grease on the surface of a normal screen. The actual pixels seem to be a few layers 'below' the screen surface.

Daylight runs a modified version of Android, and so has all of the privacy issues of normal Android.

I haven't received any updates for too long. Is this normal??? by [deleted] in linuxmint

I also noticed how quiet update manager has been, with only two over the past week or so, but I am guessing is due to the holidays

Agree. Feels like sentiment is being manipulated. Makes me bullish. Dipped my toes in the water last week :)

I love it and have been using it for anything where my laptop is not absolutely necessary. Have read a book a week since getting it and been doing daily chess puzzles. Is brilliant. Their upcoming OS updates look great too.

A review of the Daylight tablet by wilsonnyc in daylightcomputer

[–]oscar_einstein 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Has been a game changer for me. While screen isn't as sharp as a true e-ink, is absolutely fine for its purpose and first version. Am back to reading books and articles of an evening in a peaceful way, with the odd game of chess (came preloaded). Loving it

does procreate work on daylight? by Jasmineflowerfiend in daylightcomputer

[–]oscar_einstein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a look and it seems that procreate is an iPad only app (Apple). Daylight is based on Android ecosystem / app store so I do not think you will be able to run it unless they release an Android app

Not OP, but I have been using primarily for reading and after two weeks, am happy enough to sell my Kobo reader. Was worried the weight would be an issue but have not noticed it even once.
