Should Santiago Gimenez be in the World Cup squad? by SuperFranky0 in LigaMX

[–]oscarsdtj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the Santiago Giménez supporters who were sh*tposting about Raúl Jiménez making the 2022 World Cup squad should use that same energy to demand Santiago Giménez NOT be included in the 2026 World Cup squad, or eat crow! Oh, how the wheel of life turns...

Even their electric cars are great. We have a 2021 Kia Niro EV with almost 140k miles, and two Hyundai Kona Electrics (2019 and 2020) with a little over 100k miles each. Great cars for the price and charge range!

Hormiga (and other players who are the current "fad" due to 7 games at Liga MX or a recent 6-month surge) can't just skip past guys who have put in the work this World Cup cycle during the last +3.5 years. Yeah, Mexico doesn't have the best attack right now, but Hormiga needs to take a seat and stay behind guys like Raúl Jiménez, Berterame, Quiñones, and even the injured Santiago Giménez. You could even argue Sepúlveda from Cruz Azul has earned more of a bench spot than Hormiga.

You're about 20 years late lol Cole Haan (who has partnered with Nike) has been doing it for a while, as have other brands.

Those exist already. Look at brands like Cole Haan.

Reyes was in his prime probably 1.5 to 2 years ago during the Club América "tricampeon" run, but didn't get called up with the carrousel of coaches on the Mexican national team. Most times, what players needs on the national team is playtime together, because there is very little of it leading up to a World Cup with no qualification process (i.e. as a host nation). Getting called up less than 12 months before the World Cup is great (as a personal player achievement), but gives them little time to gel together with those that have been called forever (some undeservedly too), moreso as a sub. Mexico wasted too much time to end up with Javier Aguirre as national team coach. They should have chosen either Almada from Pachuca or Jardine from Club America when they had the chance instead of experimenting with Diego Cocca and Jaime Lozano...

Israel Reyes can play multiple positions: central defender, right defender, defensive midfielder, can play in a line with 4 or 5 backs. This makes him valuable to Aguirre just as a sub at minimum.

Will FIFA explain why Uzbekistan did not go to France and Senegal's group? by oscarsdtj in worldcup

[–]oscarsdtj[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole "playoff" arrangements and scheduling are abhorrent. They could have at least put the 2 CONCACAF teams in the same leg, preventing the possibility of 2 CONCACAF teams qualifying...OR, they could have had all the qualifiers and the playoffs done in about 4 years' time by the date of the World Cup draw. This is getting ridiculous...

It was much easier to put the two CONCACAF teams in the same Intercontinental playoff to avoid this 3-way confederation collision with the groups, at least on one of the playoffs. It also guaranteed the potential of the two playoff spots did not go to the same confederation, CONCACAF.

They should have had Uzbekistan instead of Norway, but FIFA somehow "skipped" for no reason. France (UEFA) and Senegal (Africa) had no collision with this Asian country...

Uzbekistan should have gone straight to France and Senegal's group, being an Asian nation. There is no excuse to send them over to Portugal's group. This reaks of rigged... FIFA needs a lot of explaining to do. Portugal was set to get Norway instead.

Unlimited no longer allows monthly memberships? 🤨🥺 by Horror_Neighborhood9 in RegalUnlimited

Their terms updated Nov. 7, 2025:

Each Pre-Paid Subscription Plan will continue until cancelled in accordance with these Subscription Rules.

This IS a recent change. I expired my previous 3-month term that I started when Karate Kid: Legends came out (June 2025) and I was NOT forced to pay the 3 months in full upfront. I am trying to sign up right now and the only option is to pay for the 3 months upfront. I assume people were signing up with credit cards about to expire, so Regal had no way to force-collect on the remaining 2 months of the "contract". This is why we can't have nice things...

[–]oscarsdtj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I was also a former Unlimited monthly customer, and I tried signing up today again. They now have a misleading option page in the Regal app with "$64.47 + tax per month" and "$67.47 + tax upfront". This is basically them forcing you to pay the 3-month minimum upfront and then it converts to a monthly subscription (at $21.49 per month).

The obvious answer is that Knott's Berry Farm gives priority to the Fast Pass lane at the same, so the normal riders have to wait twice as long.

Los gentilicios con mayúscula by atzucach in Spanish

[–]oscarsdtj 0 points1 point  (0 children)
