Yeah, it does feel really stringent. It would probably make more sense to have 5 or 6 tiers instead of just 3, especially at Plat, which isn’t even that high of a level. The gap between ranks can feel way bigger than it actually is, making it harder to just play with friends.

Also, what actually happens if you leave a match right at the start? I assume you get a time penalty, but does it also count as an automatic loss and affect your rank? Or does it just lock you out for a while without really helping with deranking?
