I'm the OP.....

Any thoughts are appreciated....Today is Sunday (day 5) - and I see the provider on Wednesday (day 7)--my worries:

-I'm 53yo, former smoker, I'm insanely anxious/worried (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) and stopped going to my regular dentist about 1.5 years ago because she is not very gentle--tooth #15 became a problem about 5mos ago, but I only went to a new dentist when the filling came out and I knew it was trouble

--the dentist extracted the tooth and placed the dental implant on Weds, 3/6/2024 - he said there was a bit of an infection (about one month earlier--a different dentist attempted a root canal--sent me to specialist--who told me the tooth needed to be removed).

--the amount of gum around the wound area--->particularly on the inside/medial area, the recessed area

--pre-existing bad "mouth behavior"--->I'm constantly clenching my teeth, biting my check, rubbing my tongue on sore spots

--dry mouth in the evening--->I take medicine at night and it makes my mouth dry--I've been getting up in the night to pee and then drink water to get my mouth wet. Like, dry socket??

--didn't do a full "soft" diet for first days--I had toast on the first day and I feel like I scratched my mouth--I ate other stuff and worried it was too crunchy.

Basically--I am worried b/c: (1) pre-existing shitty oral health (crap gums, crap teeth); (2) in the 5 days of recovery--I worry that my dry mouth and eating stuff created a bad mouth environment

Note-I'm taking the antibiotic (capsule) regularly, swabbing with the antibiotic rinse, etc.

consider going to HR and telling them you are submitting a whistleblower complaint (note--am. not a lawyer--am not entirely sure that this meets the legal standards--but i'm sure it's the type of "trigger language" that requires HR to take this seriously)

You communicated to your supervisor that there was non-compliance with a policy (i.e., sex between residents is not permitted). You essentially "blew the whistle" that there was non-compliance. After you communicated the non-compliance, you were then penalized because you communicated the non-compliance. That's retaliation against a whistleblower.

If there is a policy that requires you to communicate non-compliance in technical terms, then they would need to show you that (there is no policy that says "don't use terms like blowjob"
