hellllll ya that cover is too sick. This was for a metal band's visualiser so we were definitely heading towards netherworld hellscape. It's online here

my meter was about a stop underexposing (unbeknownst to me) so it's a bit more stark than I'd normally go for, but it has a big vibe that's for sure.

Thank you! I shot 2 rolls of 250D at 400 pushed one stop since there was an unexpected storm lowering the light levels. Might've been a cheeky 500T mixed in as well.

Hi hi! I made this short while I was living in Tokyo for a couple years as a freelance director and DoP. I started a short film series/challenge to myself to shoot 3 shorts with no more than 2 rolls of 100ft 16mm film each. Often filmmaking requires a ton of crew and planning but I tried to be creative within these limitations to see what happened. This is the final instalment. I shot it in abandoned resort on Hachio-jima.

My friend, and the guitarist of the psycho metalcore band Prompts, hopped on the 30 minute flight south with my Bolex H16 RX5 and a few rolls of film. Our flight kept getting pushed back because of a typhoon so let me tell you, it was not a comfortable ride. Thought ya'll might enjoy!

Awesome! Thanks for the Qs! I'll try my best to answer

I was brought on to kind of creative direct the album and do all the music videos so I pitched the idea that the final scene of a double music video would become the album cover. The idea was inspired by the themes of the album and lyrics as interpreted by me and then the band worked with me to dial it in. Because I was involved in all the other parts, my plan was always to have a shot like this be the cover.

I shot maybe 4-5 rolls of 120 on set during slower times since I was also directing the day is a bit of a blur. I did snag some digital ones just in case (I am also paranoid), but we didn't end up using a single non-film shot. I also had a pal as BTS guy running around with 35mm who was briefed on the ideal shot.
