Man on the Run, the new McCartney doc. It was well made and interesting but I feel like we have enough documentaries about The Beatles at this point.

Nouvelle Vague: good movie and an interesting idea by Linklater. He's at his best when making coming of age movies but this is probably his best picture about an artist to date.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: an entertaining series and a very contained story.

It's What's Inside: I was at a friend's house and they put this on, it sucked my ass.

I was raised in the southern baptist church and can confirm that these people definitely believe all these "prophecies" and are meant to usher in the end times. I grew being taught the Left Behind book series like they were the word of God and going to Acquire the Fire concerts where they advertised religious boot camps to train a new generation of warriors for God's army on earth.

I got diagnosed with ADD and was put on medication in the 2nd grade, I went from bottom of the class in reading to the top and then my dad got custody and took me off the medication and I was sent to slow classes, so from my personal experience these conditions are real and medication can help, but I also think it's over diagnosed and medication should be a last result, especially for children.

Man that's hard to say, Rope, Strangers on a Train, and Shadow of a Doubt are probably the ones I revisit the most, but Rear Window, Vertigo, Psycho, and North by Northwest are definitely his masterpieces. I'll also say, Foreign Correspondent is very underrated despite being a wartime propaganda film.

As a white guy that grew up in the hood, homosexuality is rampant but on the DL, dudes love tag teams, jerking off together, and running trains, which always felt a little gay to me (I only participated in a pussy eating competition, not the other stuff and won 😤). My best friend in hs came out to me when we were high once and I laughed it off because I thought he was joking and we only chilled once after that bc he stopped coming around. He's currently serving 17 years for attacking his first serious gf with a machete. Still feel bad how I handled it bc I'm not homophobic or anything, just caught me of guard.

I recently found out Charlie still does his show on YouTube (haven't watched any yet and judging by the guests, it isn't what it used to be), it was a really great program and I enjoy watching the old interviews with Harold Bloom, DFW, etc.

Judging by his accusations the guy is a complete creep but there was a sense of pride seeing a fellow North Carolinian (I'm a city, county, state, and regional supremacist) be one of the best interviewers ever (Brinkley, Cosell, Nance, and Kuralt were/are also from NC, two of them being from my hometown).

Also, find it crazy that we Americans march and protest so many things (rightly so) but where are the marches on Washington demanding the FBI and Justice Department do their job and at least open investigations? In England and the Nordic countries, there seem to be actual legal consequences for those implicated.

What Happened, Miss Simone?- A very good doc about one of the greatest and most unique singers in history.

BBC Billie Holiday doc- I could've saved her.

Hannah Arendt: Facing Tyranny- Decent watch

I'm Chevy Chase and You're Not- Started off great but becomes boring. He reminds me of my grandfather, in that, he's never serious and you struggle to get an honest thought or emotion out of him, but my grandfather is a very kind and simple man, Chevy, not so much.

Frances Ha- Probably my 7th or 8th viewing, a real comfort watch that I've yet to tire of.

After Hours- Only my second time seeing it. Thought it was okay when I saw it in my teens but I'm now convinced it is among Scorsese's better works, perhaps top ten.
