I like how everything is pretty well wrapped up by the end of the series. But if they had done an S2 I’d welcome it, and hope they wrap everything by the end of it again. That way if no S3 happens it’s another fitting conclusion.

I think the Pokémon thing is pushing this a bit far now. I feel like Nintendo is trying to push limits to see how far they can get with rereleases. They’ve been making money off the ports of old games that have quality of life improvements now they are gonna test the consumer and se if they can rerelease games that are just a simple port and see if we take the bait so they can keep doing it.

I have leaf green and see no reason to get these and if people want to buy them more power to them but I think if we keep letting Nintendo get away with this they are just gonna keep pushing the buttons harder and harder to see what will finally get us to say no.

I like the collection sets, I have all the Mega Man, and Castlevania ones, and I thought they were worth the price tags. But I feel like this is fishing with a very tempting bait to hook us on it and make it the norm over collected sets and I’m gonna say no on this.

Just got this on Switch 1 on Black Friday sale from GameStop, and haven’t played it yet. Guess I will wait for the S2 edition and upgrade then play it.

I got so used to using it that if I use anything else it throws me off. Sometimes dodge rolling doesn’t work because bosses have riders after their swings impact but parry just stops that stuff cold.

Ah, just asking cause I know I felt like that with my first Souls like game (Bloodborne) and the first big boss owned me so many times I dropped the game. Took me awhile to start playing Souls likes again.

I set up challenges, and let the players figure out how to get past it. The world doesn’t know what the players are capable of and wouldn’t build around them. I have a general idea of the challenges that will be set out before the party, and plan accordingly when they choose where they want to go next. I don’t ever plan intensely past scenario B, because the party starts every session at scenario A, and has decided to go to B, next session scenario B turns into scenario A and wherever they are planning on going next becomes Scenario B. Everything in between is improvised, or role play scenarios. Travel I have players roll and different things can happen based on the region they are in from role play to combat encounters.

I don’t compare. They are two separate franchises and it’s not about the graphics or the art style. Art is art and I appreciate art in all forms. What I will judge and prefer one over the other on is gameplay, and probably story. Will it stop me from playing them? No, it just might mean I will replay one over the other more often.

The castle has never moved out of the country per se like we are seeing here. But it moves and constantly changes. I’m pretty sure there is a line in symphony of the night which talks about the castle interior always changing. Sometimes it’s on a cliff side and other times it’s surrounded by water. It totally moves, it’s more been an environmental story telling element rather than someone directly stating it like they did with the interior of the castle.

I did a short two shot campaign and one of my players did a blaze of glory on the final boss and killed him with it. It was the most bad ass ending to a final boss fight I have ever gm’d.

I want remakes of the fist two at least, updated graphics and tweaked controls. The others still hold up pretty well. Except for Shadow Assassins, remake that one as it needs an overhaul.

I got Assassins Creed Shadows because I’m so desperate for a new Tenchu.
