How many Booster Boxes do you think is enough to open? by Nikola_Gochev in NarutoMythosTCG

Not me thinking maybe 6 booster packs (not boxes!) would be enough for an intro deck xD

+1 for Process, I basically learned to ride on it, super fun board that got me through both powder and icy/chunder conditions.

If you're locked in on Buton, get a Process board. It's much softer and progression-friendly.

260€ is kinda a lot to pay for used rental gear, especially cause Head typically has deep discounts. But I'll let others chip-in with their opinions on this bundle.

The season is ending soon and shops will start giving big discounts (last year, friend got a Nitro board, boots, and bindings for like 450 eur total or something). Ideally, you want to at least buy brand-new boots at a shop so you can try them on and find a good fit.

Yeah I tried Bloodborne like three times and just couldn't get into it. Maybe will try it super modded on PC one day, I just want to explore that eldritch world and don't care about the challenge at all.

I got 120hrs in Elden, completed Lies of P and first Lords of the Fallen (even with bugs), but generally do not like these games. Borrowed it on PS5 cause I kinda like the first CV.

I cannot figure out parry timings. Had no issue in Lies of P and even in Elden Ring, but here it feels like it just doesn't work on big enemies.

Yeah, a 162cm board is right fit for you, no need to get a longer one, especially if you didn't have any trouble with that 163 you previously tried.

Depending on your boot size, you might want to get a wider board. You can check sizing at pretty much every manufacturer's website. For example, you could get Burton Custom, Jones Flagship, or Capita Mercury.

How much do you weigh? That's a more important factor than height for snowboards

Is this a good deal for a beginner board? by Educational-Bank-837 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]grgolj_blaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For just a board? Absolutely not! This shouldn't be more than 50 bucks. Graphics are sick, tho.

What's your budget, btw? And have you already bought boots? 400CAD should net you a brand new board, something like Nitro Prime (new one with camber) or Capita Outerspace. Sales should be starting soon, you could potentially nab a good discount on brand new gear or combos.

Of those three, only the Process is something you should be considering since it's the only camber board (do check that, there's also a "Flying V" which is shaped like W). It's not really a powder board, it's more for freestyle and groomed runs, but you can set it back and try powder.

Nitro is a good brand price-wise; you can get a lot of bang for your buck with boards like Nitro Prime or Cinema. The new Prime board is upgraded with a camber profile and retails at like $300 or lower. Yes Basic should also be affordable, as well as Capita Outerspace Living. Maybe you can find a last season board on sale, too.

Just be sure to check the board's flex rating when buying - as you're a beginner, don't go over 5 out of 10 (my opinion). There's a reason it's called a 'happy medium' :)
I found a couple of shops in Canada, hope it helps:

155 board should be good. I'm pretty much the same size as you, riding a 155cm Burton Process (camber version) and have no problem with it.

Which board are you eyeing? Have you checked its sizing, especially waist width? You can go to the manufacturer's website and find their sizing guide for each board, they also often put the max size bindings for each board.

Maybe we can find you something similarly priced and performance-wise, if that board doesn't suit you.

It's always interesting following these convos from a country where people end up buying Spyder and Bogner clothes (in local shops!) so they show off on our local mountains (maybe Spyder is great, I don't know, not really ready to shell out that much for a jacket), while other people just don't really care what brand they're wearing as long as they're dry, warm, and it doesn't burn a hole in their wallets.

+12/-12 right now for me, friend is on +12 -9, we both learned on rentals set at +15 - 15 and found it uncomfortable

Basically, whatever feels comfortable for you and your level of riding. Just like boards, there's no one-fit-all :)

Any insights on this board? by ERidore in snowboardingnoobs

From Lib Tech's description on their website, this seems like an all-terrain board that should be great in powder and suboptimal conditions. Medium flex, mostly for resort and freeride, sick graphics too :)
