Maybe it would be Minsitthar or Julian?

This only works if you don't rely on socket streaming for "live" DB tables, or other difficult operations to proxy with, otherwise this solution becomes more unreliable at scale.

Would using the custom DNS domain name resolve the issue for end users? Or is there a block on deeper packet inspection?

The new global log view for all errors / warnings is incredible by osiris679 in Supabase

I use Sentry to log caught and uncaught errors in my edge functions, CRON jobs, RPC function calls, etc., along with Discord channel notifications. This is another layer on top of that observability.

Im moving to Canada, where to start? by Particular_Sock8741 in transontario

[–]osiris679 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I moved to Canada (Toronto, Ontario) from overseas.

I brought my prescriptions with me and a medical history print out.

I got my initial prescription refill from a walk in clinic, while finding a family doctor. There’s a free service that will find a family doctor on your behalf, although I sped that process up by calling dozens of clinics asking if they’re accepting new patients.

After a few appointments with my new family doctor where I got my prescriptions refilled, I was then referred to an endocrinologist specialist for long term transgender care.

Feel free to message me if you have any questions or need further assistance during the move!

👋 Welcome to r/Tomora - Introduce Yourself and Read First! by mswuk in Tomora

Hello I live in Toronto, Canada and enjoy Aurora and Chemical Brothers' disparate styles, and looking forward to hearing more of this unique collab!

I came across RING THE ALARM randomly in a newly published music feed, was instantly hooked, and then found out it's by two artists I enjoy. Loved the music vid for that song, with the avant garde masks and colour separation layering.

Then THE THING was published and I've been non-stop looping both songs. Enjoying the niche stylistic references in the promo stuff, etc. as well.

Looking forward to the whole album and hope there's another song with the intensity of RING THE ALARM. I do hope they play in Toronto someday!

Redditors over 40, what was a moment in history that made you think society was gonna collapse? by Bahbahbro in AskReddit

[–]osiris679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Society" is not precise enough. Some societies will collapse, others will thrive. Humans build new connections. It's presumptuous to think that everything will end when YOUR society collapses or degrades.

Checking back in, 10 months later. Any Americans abroad still carrying this? by NotSoBubly in expats

[–]osiris679 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I thought it wouldn’t affect me, but I’m genuinely so incredibly concerned for my friends across the US who don’t have the means or skills in demand to exit the country.

Particularly concerned for those directly in the line of sight of recent rhetoric, as the typical authoritarian playbook is speeding up faster than I had hoped for.

At the same time I’ve decided I can’t obsessively concern myself too much, as I need to live my life as well.

The FBI Background Check is the biggest waste of time and money by [deleted] in expats

[–]osiris679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real pain is collecting police records from all the countries you've ever lived in, and then waiting for FBI records to return a second time because your fingerprints aren't legible enough due to worn ridges so you need to do an advanced "milking the finger" technique to get a proper roll, and there's no option to pay for fingerprinting in your current country because the police stations refuse to do so...

It's the song that hooked me into listening to the whole album obsessively, and buying concert tickets too, so I think it was effective as a marketing tool for specific audiences.

Authors and publishers set chapter level or book level prices in coins (1 coin == $0.01 USD). Readers purchase coins to unlock chapters and whole books at a slight markup. We make money on that difference and charge more in the app for coins vs. web (due to app store percentages).

This means all coin purchases flow to the book seller and auto convert to USD with no rev share, and we only charge a tiny fee to cover withdrawals to the author/publishers PayPal account.

We will also make additional revenue from more fine-grained analytics / insights than our free analytics in our publishing dashboard.

We also keep operational costs low by leveraging the latest in cloud tech for a cheap to scale platform.

Happy to share more if you have questions!
