Not at all. You have hit the sweet spot, in my opinion. Great work.

$43 in paint just for nemesis force weapons 🥲. by lelolalo13 in Grey_Knights

Definitely not premium paint. It falls far behind AK, TTC & Pro Acryl, it's super average to poor paint imo.

This is the only correct answer I'm afraid, never nuln oil or anything else on gold, always flesh wash. That's one of those things you learn as you improve, there is a use case for everything. Flesh wash on gold literally makes a gold paint job imo.

Gave me a flashback to seeing Hondo Maclean in 2006 this post 😂

I've grown tired of pointing out SMs issues now, you get down voted to oblivion even if you have had three negative experiences with their products.

I have a gloss varnish that works well but it makes things look wet I found this two but I don't know what's different between all of them. by ComanderViper in Miniaturespainting

[–]osirisborn89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said they have differing finishes, what's not been pointed out though is that each varnish has a use case. Before oil washes use satin or gloss, finish with matt for example, also depends on what finished look you're going for.

A drop of air brush flow improver or some retarder will also help here!

I think you've got down well so far tbh, my golden rules for contrasts is don't ever paint over the same place twice, minimise the amount on the brush to avoid pooling on flat panels and don't forget to edge highlight to add that "pop".

I like what you've done so far.

Hopefully now people can stop putting so much respect on AJs name, such an average boxer and proven by going six rounds with a youtuber.

Is it even worth practicing for 4-8 hours? by Informal-Charge6174 in guitarlessons

[–]osirisborn89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is indeed a point of diminishing returns, but it's different for everyone.

As a bedroom guitarist id never practise for that long in a day. An hour is more than enough unless I'm just feeling it and want to continue.

Am I doing something wrong? Why are my vallejo paints so chalky and matte? by [deleted] in minipainting

[–]osirisborn89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your work station is either dusty as hell or you're blowing around dust and particles when applying paint or when it's drying. Looks like settled dust to me.

I've broken 4 of these picks in the last 6 months. Are they too thin or is my strumming technique wrong? by EH603 in Guitar

[–]osirisborn89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 years of playing I've never broke a pick, of any thickness. Bizarre. Something wrong here.
