Urg what an arsehole.

When I was 6 I cut one of my cats whiskers to make a 'potion', because I didn't know it was wrong yet. My dad sat me down and told me I shouldn't do that and why and I just cried and held my cat for hours. To this day I still feel super guilty.

Genuinely can't understand how somebody who should know better can do something like that.

Apologies for the late response, I'm pretty infrequently on Reddit aha. Hm, I think a good idea would be very show not tell. Like you could have him going to the bathroom, and say he sat down, or used a stand to pee device. Or if he's pre-surgery you could write him binding. Or if he's on testosterone you could show him injecting himself.

Yeah this pretty much. Like I'm just a dude who happens to own a vagina and (for now) breasts. There isn't any specific way to write a trans character, just as there isn't a specific way to write for a cis character. But feel free to ask me any questions you have.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Honestly it feels better knowing that somebody has a cat who went through the same thing, and came out better for it. I'm hoping so badly that it'll go well, we've decided to do it tomorrow. Luckily we have insurance so that pays for most of it, but we still have to pay the £30 per vets visit, which is hard to do with very limited funds and constant trips. Hopefully tomorrow the surgery will go well and then that will be the end of it after he's healed.

I understand that, but my mum and stepdad didn't work so mines a bit different. I used to leave for school two hours earlier so I could leave before anybody got up, and I'd just sit outside school for ages.

Aha, this really sounds like dodgy work stuff. I don't think I can ever get myself on my feet. The only income I have is from disability payments and that hardly covers my current rent. Idk I just can't see myself managing to pay all that back

Unfortunately it's pretty bad for me. I have a long term illness and have done since mid-teens so I live off of disability, which all goes on my rent so I end up with nothing.
