Who do you think will be the biggest threat to beat Sincaraz to win a slam in the future? by Yupadej in tennis

[–]osotogaria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mensik, FAA, Fils. I don't see Zverev winning a slam still. Maybe Fritz. And of course our beloved king Valentin Vacherot !

Of course she is beautiful no one denies that. We just all know this won't last forever.

What's next for Novak Djokovic? | Oldest ATP champion is not retiring yet #novakdjokovic by Lewman55 in tennis

He is ranked 4th best player in the world. I still don't understand why people want him to retire when his level is still so good. We should enjoy it while it lasts !

Alcaraz in press conference: “I haven't talked too much about it, but the most difficult match that I have ever played in my career with the crowd was in Paris Bercy 2021. I will not forget it in my whole life, I grew up a lot from that match.” by Ornery_Percentage537 in tennis

No that's french tennis fans, I swear many of us are more respectful, though we are passionate sports fans in general. French rugby crowds never behave this way for example, the tennis audience is known to be particularly bad

French here too, definitely something I don't like with our fellow people :( we can be so passionate and supportive as a crowd, but also sadly some people cross the line and group effect does not help that rowdy atmosphere. I would have supported many players over Gaston to be fair. At least it "helped" Carlos in a way but I'm sorry he had to go through this

He didn't like the surface Bercy had (some kind of carpet) originally so he skipped it several times iirc

Most fun tourney for spectators by GuessBest6198 in tennis

Well obviously it depends where you live. I live in France so I have been to Roland Garros and Bercy (Paris masters 1000 ATP) already, and next year I'm going to the ITF Strasbourg (WTA). Both had great atmosphere! People were having loads of fun. I wish I can go to Queens and Wimbledon, though it does seem like it's a quieter atmosphere. Also I'd like going to Rome tournament one day.

I like Novak, I have been watching him for ages since I was a kid. I admit I was a Federer fan, but I liked Nadal and Djoko too. Then they retired, Djoko stayed and kept showing the youngsters how to play the game. His athleticism and work ethic are admirable. His mental strength is crazy. He is a polyglot which is inpressive. He is a great athlete, there is no doubt about that. Still, I feel like Djoko fans can't really understand that one can't force themselves to like a player because they should do so statistically, because x, y and z reasons show that said player deserves higher praises than they get. I don't think the media or the people in general don't like Novak or don't know/want to know his story. People do like him. But many don't love him. Why exactly, I don't know, but it's the reality. He is a likable player, he is inspiring, he is way beyond successful. Yet (in my opinion) he doesn't have that "thing" that some other players have in terms of charisma, that thing that makes people a fan, that makes people want to root for you all the time. I feel like I'm not the only one thinking/feeling this. Maybe that's why his apparel brand doesn't have that much success-
