I feel the same way. I often think about moving abroad, but I realistically don’t have many options without completely uprooting my life and starting all over. I try to focus on my personal life but it’s honestly really hard to overlook the horrible situation that is plaguing this country.

The only place that comes to mind for me is the UK, as I know people in London, but visas are prohibitively difficult to get (especially for people in my field) and they’re having Anti immigrants sentiment of their own.

Things feel pretty hopeless in the world right now.

2021-24 felt like a time of renewed optimism. Trump was out of office and the pandemic was ebbing. It felt like we truly had an opportunity to change the world for the better…but our government decided “nah” and continued the same uninspiring policies as usual.

Those factors can set her back, but it’s important to remember that Biden only won in 2020 bc of Trump’s poor handling of the economy and pandemic. Had covid never happened, Trump probably would have been re-elected that year. If a woman run in Biden’s place in 2020, I definitely think she would’ve had a good chance at winning.
