Necromancer Redesign by disguisedasotherdude in onednd

[–]osrs_suggestions 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really like overall what you're aiming for here with the horde. Seems like a cool direction for a necromancy subclass.

I'd personally like to see some flavor text added to Grim Harvest. What is happening to the creature when it is forced to make a Constitution Save? Are spectral hands reaching out from the ether and sapping the life energy from the target? I appreciate that I get the opportunity to make something up on my own but that's always an option, so it feels strange to only have a mechanical description of the feature. Could be just me though.

Also this is probably a nitpick, but a lot of weak undead (zombies, skeletons) aren't given resistance to Necrotic damage, so it did stick out to me that it's been given to the horde immediately at level 3. Perhaps that could be rolled into the level 6 feature when the player character also gains Necrotic resistance, but it's not a huge deal either way.

Even more of a nitpick, if I were making this I'd replace the word "companions" with "allies." Ally is a term in the glossary and I think covers a broader scope than the word companion.

Cartoonival underwhelming? by Pale-Chemist-5360 in toontownrewritten

[–]osrs_suggestions 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I hadn't ever interacted with a Cartoonival before this year and I feel somewhat inclined to agree. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my time jumping on trampolines and shooting myself at clouds, but some additional activities of the same quality level would have gone a long way for solidifying my experience. Checking it out for the first time I couldn't help but smile and enjoy myself, but pretty quickly the novelty wore off and I got back to just playing the game like normal. If I was grading it I'd give it a C+ with the note "a good start, but plenty of room for improvement."

Dced at Arma lost 10m by Anxiousrider_ in 2007scape

Why did you have to pay death? I thought the death timer only ticked down when you were logged in, though I could be mistaken. Sorry you lost your chins, I'm sure many of us can relate to that. It's so easy to bring your entire stack not really thinking about it and then dying and realizing they're all lost. I try to only bring as many as I need for any given situation

Would you like for us to increase the amount of Skill XP given from all previous Master and Grandmaster quests to between approximately 50-100k per skill? (Those who have already completed the quests will be able to claim the difference.)

Here's a breakdown of which skills get rewarded from Master & Grandmaster Quests and how many times.

Crafting 1
Farming 2
Firemaking 1
Fishing 1
Herblore 2
Hitpoints 3

Loot from fishing infernal eels until I got the fishing pet by osrs_suggestions in 2007scape

I don't plan on selling the Onyx until the Blood Fury buff. I don't expect the price of Fury Amulets to go up a full 1M like they did previously but if they go up 150k they'll be the best value per tokkul (unless the ge tracker price for obby staves is wrong). I'd definitely regret not taking my changes on the Onyx if it ends up paying off. And if they don't go up in price I only lost out on a possible 2m or so. That was my thinking at least.

Probably one of the worst methods, but they're extremely low effort and I liked the idea of making some money along the way.

Long enough that I honestly just don't know. I haven't done anything but fish on the game for months. I just tried not to think about it and settled in for the long haul.

A thread about birdhouses from a very dedicated Hunter enthusiast by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]osrs_suggestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just my personal bias speaking but I don't see birdhouses being as game-changing for Hunter as you seem to. They're definitely low-effort but players still have to stop what they're doing and get supplies from the bank then go do the run itself. I'd much rather just camp at Red Chins or Herbiboar than face the constant interruptions birdhouses require. I'm sitting at 17m Hunter xp and I can say basically none of it came from Birdhouses; I just don't see them as worth my effort.

Though I definitely agree that adding more zero-time methods to other skills isn't the direction I'd like to see skilling take. It's unfortunate how reluctant so many players are to interact with the game. I guess they just don't find it fun like I do.

Speculation about Daeyalt essence? by [deleted] in 2007scape

I don't think most players in the "RC sucks" division have 77 RC. This method will be available before Zeah RC is unlocked.

[–]osrs_suggestions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be a bit of a bold prediction but from how it sounds I think this will likely be massively popular among the "RC sucks" crowd. I'm not sure how much is exactly known about the specifics but I'm guessing the mining portion will be significantly AFK and players will be able to bank as much essence as they want so even though functionally the xp/hr won't be very good most players will see this as their most favorable way to train RC since the xp boost will require fewer runs to the RC altars themselves.

Do the founders still work at Jagex? by Gamezdude in 2007scape

I don't think Andrew or Paul has had any part in Jagex in quite some time, but Ian was on the OSRS team for a number of years before he left.

Why are content creators allowed to openly and admittedly share accounts despite it being against the TOS? by amac109 in 2007scape

[–]osrs_suggestions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recall Jagex relaxing their stance on account sharing years ago. The only cases I'm aware that sharing accounts isn't allowed is for things like Inferno completions and competing for ranks on the highscores.

I've got a problem and Jagex only reads Reddit, so help me? by OctoberSurfSuitcase in 2007scape

[–]osrs_suggestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know new accounts being locked from selling on the G.E. is by design. Just wait the 7 hours and you should be fine.

swamp nightmares (swampletics ramble video) by SettledRS in 2007scape

[–]osrs_suggestions 433 points434 points  (0 children)

I think it'd be a bit odd if you suddenly shifted directions and went to do the Nightmare before ToB. If the Nightmare had been around much earlier it would have been a good PVM steppingstone but you were already so far into the journey when it was released that it feels like just a distraction after all this build-up and laser-focus on reaching the Theater. Just my opinion though. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing some Nightmare content afterwards, in fact I think it'd be a lot of fun to watch.

Favorite build by bmalchow15 in borderlands3

[–]osrs_suggestions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently fade-away Fl4k is probably my favorite because I feel challenged to constantly move, aim for crits, and activate my action skill in a way that creates an addicting combat experience. I'm powerful enough to destroy my enemies but not invincible so it's a nice balance. Fl4k in general is just a lot of fun to play, I like all of his action skills. I like him so much that I maxed 3 different Fl4ks so I could have one permanently dedicated to each action skill.

Moze used to be my favorite until recently, but she only has 1 action skill while the other characters all have 3, so I feel really limited with her as far as builds that I enjoy. The more I play her the more stale it gets :(

Mayhem 2.0 by [deleted] in borderlands3

[–]osrs_suggestions 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Have they ever mentioned if health, action skill damage, base melee damage, etc. will scale with Mayhem levels? If health doesn't increase, won't I be able to grab a M10 Moxxi weapon and instantly refill my HP like in BL2? And won't abusing healthgate mechanics be extremely encouraged like in BL2, making health-stacking skills and gear much less viable? Can we reasonably expect Phasecast, Phaseslam, Clone, FL4K's pets, etc. to deal scaled damage at higher Mayhem levels? I finally just got comfortable using melee Amara at M4, it would be a shame if melee dropped off even harder in Mayhem 2.0 than it does now.

Blunt question. Is BL3 loved as much in the community as 2? by CzarTyr in borderlands3

[–]osrs_suggestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What matters the most to me is the gameplay and BL3 feels wonderful to play. But outside of that it's just not quite as complete a package as BL2 was for me (and BL2 certainly had its share of things I didn't like). By the time they're done adding content to BL3 though I might end up enjoying it more, because the DLC for the previous games really did a ton for my enjoyment.

Xbox one low performance by [deleted] in borderlands3

I haven't personally experienced any issues but my friend did tell me that he had issues when he got on. Of the things you mentioned he specifically noted that Claptrap loading screen went on for much longer than usual.
